WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A new poll of 500 registered Oklahoma voters shows ex-Oklahoma City Mayor Kirk Humphreys with a slim, 3-point lead in next year's Senate race.
Humphreys, the Republican, leads Democrat Brad Carson, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, by 41 to 38 percent statewide.

Mayor Kirk Humphreys has not officially announced but over the weekend he picked up endorsements by my all time favorite Congressman J.C. Watts and my current Congressman Tom Cole whose campaign I volunteered for.
Already was supporting Humphreys for Senator after receiving a letter from Senator Inhofe asking to join him in supporting the former OKC Mayor.
Mayor Humphries is personable, very conservative like my two current Senators, and a very positive person. I heard him speak and was impressed with his ability to connect to the audience.
He is my first choice and as the campaign progresses, I expect him to increase his lead. He is for tax cuts and his opponent Carson, was initially and then changed his mind. Carson votes almost solidly with the DemocRATs and with the President/VP into OK asking Oklahomans to send them Humphries, would expect to see him pull it out in the end.

We are going to hold it -- Carson doesn't stand a chance when Republicans get into full swing. National races trend way Republican here and all we have to do is point out Carson does not support the Bush Agenda and he will be another holdout on conservative judicial nominations from his track record.
This is the same Brad Carson that held onto checks from Hillary Clinton for a year and finally sent them back when they did a poll and he would lose in the primary if he cashed them.
