[history]
The fall of Baghdad has produced new evidence to buttress the Bush administration's prewar contention that Saddam Hussein's regime and Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda had a long history of contacts.
The most conclusive evidence comes in a highly detailed list of intelligence reports revealed last month in the Weekly Standard. Senior Iraqis were said to have traveled to Sudan in the mid-1990s to teach bin Laden's operatives how to make sophisticated truck bombs.

Won't matter. Even if 100 videos of Saddam and OBL in bed are found, the NYT, LAT and ABCNNBCBS will just ignore them, and stick to their "no proof" mantra.
It's the latest version of "the big lie."

Don't count on seeing this news on the "major" networks. And probably only on Special Report on FNC.

President Bush justified, in part, toppling Saddam on the grounds he aided terror groups.
This is such a stupid arguement. Saddam was cutting checks for Hamas suicide bombers. That's not terrorism? I'd like the Dems to explain why Hamas is not a terrorist organization. Maybe, MAYBE, someone will finally ask them.

Cannot wait to see GWB debating one of the nasty nine in primetime.
GWB: Once again, the link between Al Qeada and Iraq has been documented and proven.
NN: Liar,liar pants on fire.

"It's the latest version of "the big lie.""
You're so right, I was watching a rebroadcast of "Face the Nation" last night and a reporterette from the Compost stated that there is "no proof" that Saddam was involved w/ terrorists
Russert, of course, let it pass.
BTW, watching that show w/ it's seven libs and one semi-conservative (Safire) I was reminded of just how important FNS is, and what strides we conservatives have made in getting our message out.

Big liberal media will ignore this, just as the Democrats ignored the reporting of the Republican sub-committee on terrorism that was active in the 1990s, and first reported on the Iraq-Sudan tie in 1993.

Great article!
I'm glad Rowan Scarborough of the Washington Times has brought this important story from the Weekly Standard back up for discussion. It was virtually ignored by the liberal media when it was originally reported.
With Brit and O'Reilly returning from vacation this week and Rush back on the air, maybe this time the memo will get the attention it deserves.

What a joke.
Rowan got paid to write an article on a report in the Weekly Standard?
What a lapdog.
He should be ashamed.

You should be ashamed for not realizing how many different sources Mr. Scarborough pulled together in this article.
Let's just say that I look forward to his articles just a wee bit more than your posts.

Now you are speaking in tongues.
Re-read the article; if you can tell me where these other sources are I love to at least attempt to understand your interoperation of this piece.
