In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.
Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."
Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."
She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."
Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.
"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."
Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.
"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."
The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.
"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

Please do not clog soldiers e-mails...they stand in line for hours to get to use the internet..they only get 10-20 minutes and by the time they log on and send messages to their families, their time is up....also you will overload their mail and they won't get any messages from home....send a note or letter....besides, most soldiers know what the rapist's wife is.Good point. Thanks, m-a.
My cut and paste addees are mostly general Army addresses + bloggers Chief Wiggles and Chromedome, both with fine administrators who screen e-mail before passing them on, and with the skill and audience to spread the word of America's outrage at Hillary's continuing treasonous behavior to their audiences and fellow troops.

These people (The Globe and the NY Times) are the true enemies of America. When a newspaper uses the front page as their editorial section, they should also rid themselves of their motto. "All The news thats fit to print". is the first lie, right in the face of it's readers. I will not even register, to read one of their articles on line.

That was the most wonderful cut-down I've ever seen. I stand in slack-jawed awe and wonder. And gratitude.

Thanks for the links. I guess that it's pretty clear that the leapord hasn't changed her spots. She must be rather desperate to incite 80% of our population to get monetary support from the 20% freaks. She has stolen silverware from the White House so I suppose this figures. She will milk the left for all it's worth with her goal of scoring bigtime donations like a friggin chipmunk entering December. IMHO she is all about $ only because she never earned any. Clever but very obvious.

ABSOLUTELY. Here are a handful of those articles of the UCMJ a person may be charged with, depending on if he/she is enlisted or a commisioned officer.
ART. 88. CONTEMPT TOWARD OFFICIALS Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
ART. 117. PROVOKING SPEECHES OR GESTURES
Any person subject to this chapter who uses provoking or reproachful words or gestures towards any other person subject to this chapter shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
ART. 133. CONDUCT UNBECOMING AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN
Any commissioned officer, cadet, or midshipman who is convicted of conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
And let's not forget the catch-all:
934. ART. 134. GENERAL ARTICLE
Though not specifically mentioned in this chapter, all disorders and neglects to the prejudice of good order and discipline in the armed forces, ll conduct of a nature to bring discredit upon the armed forces, and crimes and offenses not capital, of which persons subject to this chapter may be guilty, shall be taken cognizance of by a general, special or summary court-martial, according to the nature and degree of the offense, and shall be punished at the discretion of that court.

it's going to be tough Very......even though most are being extremely restrained. You all are being equally patient and understanding, to your credit.
To: Marie
Thank you.
It seemed fitting for the situation.
However, I can not take credit for it (please see Post # 1146).
