A Bad Day at DU (Rolling on the Floor Laughing at the Poor DU'ers...) (OK'd by Jim)
DUH ^

Boy, Thanksgiving sure was a bad day at DU.
A thread about Bush's visit to Iraq
Another thread about Bush's visit to Iraq
A thread about Toby Keith's Halftime Show
Just for reference, so we know what kind of people we're dealing with, a poll conducted on DU
Another DU poll
I'm not sure if linking to DU threads is frowned upon or not, but these threads are too good to not share with my fellow Freepers. Comedy gold!

Well, bless my soul! What's wrong with me?
I'm itching like a man on a fuzzy tree
My friends say I'm actin' wild as a pup
Bush is in Iraq
I'm all shook up
My hands are shaky and my knees are weak
I can't seem to stand on my own two feet
Why does Bush have all the luck?
Bush is in Iraq
I'm all shook up
Please don't ask what's on my mind
I'm all mixed up, not feelin' fine
Bush is the guy who I hate best
My heart is about to go in arrest
My tongue gets tied when I try to speak
My insides shake and I'm getting weak
The Eagle has Landed and the troops all cheer
Think I'll soak my head in a bucket of beer
Bush is in Iraq
I'm all shook up
Mm mm oh, oh, DU, DU, foo, foo
I'm all shook up!

Those snivelling losers (all five of them) are the best examples of liberal democrat insanity one could hope for. I only counted three distinguishable personalities: 1. A touchy-feelly female hippie. 2. A very insecure ex-sailor (this being inferred from his vernacular). 2. Someone who laughs at the sailor's jokes and makes fun of the female hippie when she gets touchy-feelly about the enemy. None of them are very well only educated.

Arnold's election was a preview of what is to come. The groping disclosures should have killed his campaign. They didn't, and Arnie understood that they wouldn't, because he was offering something, while the Democrats offered the Same Old Thing. Another factor that has to be considered is the veritable tidal wave of slime the Rats threw at Arnold, as well as at Rush (while there turned out to be something to the Rush story, at the time it looked like typical Democrat /Gray Davis character assassination tactics). And of course the constant drumbeat of smears and personal attacks against President Bush was there as well.
But thinking further, this really isn't another factor. A tendency of people who have almost nothing to offer is to swing for the fences with what they do have, and completely overdo things. And when the thing you're overdoing is personal attacks, the backlash is overwhelming and swift. So what I've just described is really just a logical extension of your point.
May the Democrats continue to remain oblivious to this. They are simply too dangerous to the wellbeing of this country to be a major political force at the current time, and in their current configuration. They need to be completely marginalized, and having them continue to behave as they are is the best way to accomplish this quickly. A couple of decades in the wilderness is what is needed for the few remaining adults in the Democratic Party to either get the lunatic lefties into the back seat where they belong, or to leave them to their own devices and form a serious opposition party that has something more to offer than hatred for Republicans and hatred for America.

While all the democratic candidates are busy bashing the war and placing our troops in dange.....Hillary was over in Afganistan -- with the troops, the guys who actually count. Shrewd and calculating. Gotta give 'em credit for knowing how to 'play' the game of politics. My guess is the Enquirer will next run a story about Toby and Hillary having an affair and how aroused she became at the sight of the American flag laced upon his briefs.
Ladies and gentlemen, the 'debates' have begun.

The second poll had a total of twenty-six votes on it. Where's the 30,000 registered DUers?
I also visited the runalgore site earlier. It sounded like a grassroots effort to "draft" algore to run. I was visitor 112.
I'm a sick man to visit these places! Shower time.

Here's a recent photo of some DU'ers gathering their thinking caps for some serious liberal mind expanding contemplation.
Pure intel for sure.

Looks like not all the DU'ers are in denial
If President Gore were to do this we would never call it crass. You know it, I know it and everybody that is concerned about out troops knows it.
I don't care which president does it...it is ALWAYS a good thing to do.

It would be fun to be a mod over at DU today, just to see how many poor schlubs like this guy got banned for posting comments like this.

Maybe shrewed and calculating on Hillary's side and maybe pure politics but don't discount the message -- she was over there with the troops, standing with her country. Dean was somewhere telling people how much George sucks and how we're wrong to be in Iraq and how it's George's fault all those terrorists are in Iraq now killing our troops (ignoring the fact that those terrorists are in Iraq and not new Hampshire and that the casualties are not exactly one sided).
Like or dislike her politics she was standing with our troops and country and that's a rather refreshing change from the left, which recently seems to have come to the consensus that we should be in the business of figuring out how to appease the radical Arabs.
Watch out for the democrats that support the troops and the war, they're the ones you have to worry about in the next election.

Re that photo in post no.29...
I wish I was related to that soldier (white guy with the shaved head sitting next to Hillary) --- he made me feel so proud of America. What a stand-up guy. I'd give him a big hug.
First he's talking with the guys, looks like he said a prayer before eating, starts eating, chats again with the guys AND NEVER ever looks at old Hil nor acknowledges she is there (at least in the file film I saw).
If the film clip got it got it right and I have the story correct --- yes sir you're one heck of a guy.
Thanks to all of you who are protecting us this Thanksgiving day.

As a Clemson fan, I am struck by how much DU.com sounds just like USC Gamecocks fans this week after we demolished them 63-17. They are all searching through a big bucket of S$%^ for pearls.

You had to dig deep for that one? I couldn't get past the first post on the first link. Afraid I might kick my dog if I continued reading.
Gushing over Hillary or bashing President Bush. There's little in between.
