President Bush secretly landed an hour ago and is currently eating Thanksgiving dinner at my undisclosed location. Anticipate a press release after he takes off.

This basicaly shows the contrast of Bush and Clinton. Bush did this because it was the right thing, and of course there will be some political benefit from it. Everything Clinton did was for his political benefit, and they hoped it would look like the right thing to do. That is so profound! I'm going to have to remember that one. Ditto here...

Hmmmm? Eleanor says "victory trip" - and claims the President said it.
Sounds like Rockefeller who claimed the President said, "imminent threat" when it was Rocky who said it.
Does anyone besides me see a pattern here ..??

Chief, there are 1800 responses now to your original post. I cannot possibly read all of them, but today's news programs are FILLED with his surprise visit to the Iraqi airport, the troop reaction as he came around the corner, and photos of him serving up turkey, and taking pics with all the troops. It was an extraordinarily secret mission, and was almost aborted when a British Airways flight over the Atlantic called over the radio, and asked, 'is that just Air Force One that I just saw?' Air Force One radioed back to say, no a gave another obscure name. Obviously the Brit 'got it' because after a long pause he said "OH", and continued on without comment. Bush was correct in his comments to all of you, the American people are behind our troops, and will not be deterred by a few thugs and terrorists. Please give our Thanksgiving thanks for your service to us, and know our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Sorry for the detractors early on in this thread after your post: Who could have guessed about this secret mission when the whole country assumed the President was at the Crawford Ranch with his family that day for Thanksgiving. We should never doubt him and his judgement; he continues to surprise!!!!
Best Regards, and stay safe!!!

Again, your kind of casual attitude toward the President's security would be considered insane by those entrusted with the job of protecting him. It betrays a significant amount of ignorance.
I was unable to post yesterday, so I have been browsing this thread today and tonight.
You are a curious person. Your request to have the thread deleted, was as it turned out, a good thing, at the time. I wonder, how you knew so quickly, what was going on. I did not get to see the thread until a good 7 or 8 hours after your first post.

Sounds to me like you are a little jealous that you couldn't break the news, so rip on the person who did. Not to mention completely humiliated by your initial posts.
It may have seemed so at first, that mrobison's post was impulsive, but in the end it turned out that he was correct. I sense that your criticism of mrobison is needlessly harsh.
He read the thread, and he saw the potential dangers, and the implications of a security breach. Why do you want to bust his balls so much?

Yes .. especially because SHE had to tell his parents he was in Baghdad. They arrived Wed night expecting to have dinner with him on Thursday.

Yes, my crying was emotional - it was pride for President Bush, our troops and for America. I never cried with such pride in America during the ghastly Clinton regime.

Yeah .. they say Bush has to promise not to use the carrier landing in his campaign .. but one of the dems is already using it in theirs - trying to discredit the "mission accomplished" issue.
