So the bleeding-hearts want to give would-be assassin John Hinckley another shot, hm?
Kinda makes a body wonder what the motivation is behind their latest agenda...

Just a couple of years ago, everyone was saying this would NEVER happen. This country is getting more soft on crime and PC each year that passes. This guy should NEVER be on the streets again.

Didn't Jodie Foster have an attorney there to protest?

Gee, I wonder why they don't think Sirhan Sirhan deserves a second chance?

These people have absolutely lost their minds. There is no good reason why this man should ever be out by himself.
He has already proven that he can not control his emotions. So what's going to happen when he goes after someone else?

I believe the thinking here by the bien-pensants is to help Hinckley's self-esteem by giving him a shot at W, since he failed to kill RR.

You just beat me to the punch.
However, there is more here to consider.
Since the Left has been lying about the deterrent effect of the death penalty upon murderers for years, they are quite well aware that setting a would be assassin free will make assassination attempts more likely.
Ergo, the release of Hinckley demonstrates the Left's intent to undeter assassins at this time.

Not really a problem, IMO, if the USSS or even a few local drunken hunters are ready for the piss-ant in question this time around.
And some naughty guy could tell him a few convincing tales about purported current and torrid affair(s) between Jodie Foster and -- well, you fill in the blank(s).
To borrow a slogan from Master Card, "consider the possibilities"......

Next thing you know, this nutburger will get the dubious distinction of honorary citizenship by France.

If they let Hinckley out, shouldn't they let Sirhan Sirhan out?
