At least we know to look for a white car, they could probably enhance it enough to get some sort of vehicle ID and track these perps down.

Baghdad is +3 hours from GMT so that would put it at 0930 Local.

50% of even small Israeli jets like A-4s have survived direct hits from this missle.

I 100% agree. They are firing missiles, but at the DHL plane? I think not. Methinks they would have recorded the impact, or at least more of the flight. The date burned on the tape means nothing. You can change the date easily.

It then shows the actual missile launch, or what appears to be several launches. It also shows the "hit", under the left side wing of the aircraft.I see the launch(es) but I never see the missile hit the DHK jet. There's a cut between SAM launch and the video of the jet on fire. Did someone whip out their video editor and splice together two unrelated tapes???

could have been several launches, though.
at least three of the ten or so men had SAM's at the ready (the others had machineguns and one looked like he had an RPG).
probably lousy shots but they (at least) got one or two off that saw the target.

Reminds me of this movie (a French film, by the way):
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006FMCS/qid=1069773158/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/002-8081474-7637628?v=glance&s=dvd&n=507846 Quote from Amazon.com:
This Belgian satire (in French with English subtitles) is dark, dark, dark--but also right on the money in its sly sendup of the media's fascination with violence and its complicity therein. This mock documentary has a trio of filmmakers shooting a cinéma vérité feature about a garrulous serial killer who lets the film crew follow him around as he selects victims and then dispatches them. But at what point does filmmaking become participation? These hapless documentarians soon find out as their subject eventually pulls them into his world, including a gun battle with a rival film crew and their own criminal star. Gruesomely hilarious, with a deadpan wit that's hard to resist. --

Exactly. This is not actual footage of the launch or the hit. I missile hit is much more violent than what was shown on this video...even a small missile hit.

What does the terrain around Baghdad Airport really look like? . . . this looks more desolate than I would have thought . . . and these guys have no fear about being out in the middle of scrub country with no cover . . . something doesn't add up . . . I think its the real plane, but not the real launch . . .

It appears from the color of the light and the length of the shadows on the men in the first scenes, that this was shot soon after sunrise (the "golden hour").
However, in the quick scene of the missle launch, the lighting is whiter and the shadows are shorter which could put it closer to 0930, when the airplane was hit.
Why wouldn't the US have helicopter and ground patrols around the airport? Especially during scheduled arrival/departure times.

To answer your question, here is (a sample of) the terrain around Baghdad International Airport, outside of Baghdad (look in the distance).
It is not an urban area nor particularly highly populated it appears. Flat, wide open brushy area.
Southwest of Baghdad. The man who directly saw the attack/the hit, was in nearby Yusifiyeh. That terrain I believe is same/similar to that caputured in the video where the terrorists were walking around in the clip.
