George Will: Candor and Campaign Finance
The Washington Post ^ | Sunday, November 23, 2003 | George F. Will

It speaks well of Dick Gephardt that he speaks so uncomfortably when compelled to speak -- as he understandably would prefer not to do -- about campaign finance law.

He is honest, and hence he acknowledges the incompatibility of the campaign law he supported last year with political spending practices that may support him next year -- and with the Constitution.

I used to read will. That was in the old days when you couldn't find a conservative to read. Now with others to read, I've come to realize that all he ever really was was the one eyed king in the valley of the blind.
I heard him on Hannity say that the country was 40% Republican and 40% rat and that since getting your base to vote would give you an edge, how-odd? dean can beat W. This smuck's bow tie is on too tight.

This is absolutely true. Bush almost last Florida because CBS reported a Gore win early and the heavily Republican panhandle undervoted.
