i wouldn't worry too much. i was a communist anti-war protester in the late 60's and early 70's. the fbi kept track of us and even interviewed me when i left the communists, but they were very polite and never harassed me. there were excesses by the fbi (ruby ridge-waco type stuff), but for the most part they just spied on us and put out disinformation.
i'm glad they are tracking the anti-war people, because communists, violent anarchists, and actual terrorists are all involved in it.

Now that the article is out, it's clear the fbi has no interest in the arab muslim terrorists in these marches, only 'anarchist' types.

carrying signs that call for the death of the president, the bombing of texas

Is that what that sign says? Now, you can correct me if I am wrong here, but from what I have read, one of the arguments against gun control is to keep big intrusive government out of our lives, and in certain situations be prepared to defend ourselves, the Constitution and our liberties from a tyrannous government. So at what point as we move closer and closer to a police state, do we say enough?

Yes they are and they should be. If you go on their web sites you will most likely understand why. I also heard that terrorists were talking about getting in among the protesters to carry out their attacks.

Keep in mind: the anti-war protests of the '60s were funded by communists who sought to undermine the country.

They still are, nothing has changed there.

No, the sign is against BOYS invading ANYTHING.
And it's the Lesbians Against Boys Invading Anything.
She looks like she wishes she was invaded, just so she could act incensed (pun) about it.

But there have been signs about "death to bus" and "death to america" carried at such rallies.
If you do not know this, it's your problem.
It is not up to me or others to do your homework for you.
I will point you in the direction, it's up to you to do the looking.
That's called 'making an effort to be informed' as well as 'paying attention to current events'.

What kind of rifle is that and where can I get one?

Looks like a Bushmaster A3, fitted with a GG&G *MAD*auxiliary rear sight instead of the usual *loophandle* rear iron sight, and an EO tech holographis electro-optical sight unit.

It's what might be thought of as the thinking man's setup, and for one of two reasons, though having a Stradivarius does not make one a concert violinist, a person who has their equipment so arranged so as to reflect their tastes and augment the weapon to best suit their chosen techniques is likely a formidible ally or a dangerous opponent.

Oh, and he's got pretty interesting taste in reading material, too.

A local dealer should be able to set you up with the rifle once you know what to ask for, and you can add the rest yourself. The book you can get directly from the author, just by clicking the link.

Charging someone with Sedition and getting a conviction under the cahrge of Sedition is at least as I understand it a much easier thing to accomplish. The problem is we have to have a DOJ that's got the stones to do it and then will go the distance on it.

Hanoi Jane could have been so charged IMHO, most of the current crop of Hollyweird, and all of the fellow travelers of the CPUSA and the Socialists by any name they wish to hide under could be so charged IMHO. Remember that the Greens/Enviromentalists are Watermelons, green on the outside and red on the inside.

At least that's my understanding of the Sedition Act. I'm sure that we have a lawyer Freeper out there that could clear up any misunderstanding that I have of the Sedition Act and to whom it could be used on.

Not to hijack the thread but when will the FBI go after ELF and ALF, EarthFirst and the rest of the ENVIRO-Terrorists as domestic terrorists?

I thought that you were supposed to be in your room!!??!!

Well, while I am here, is there a kit available to mount that weapon on a Jeep Wrangler???

You can do a little better than that.

Try LOSAT, 4 on a Humvee, probably only two on your Wrangler. Or we can go to a 9-rocket LCPK/Hydra 70 pod set up like the old Airborne *Slammer VI* on the M151 jeep....

We'll need a cover for your windshield, though....

Surprise, surprise!

When the congressional budget commitees and oversight watchdogs make it clear that unless they begin immediately to do so, those duties will be passed on to another agency, and that the FBI's budget and allottments for personnel space funding, will have to be reduced accordingly. With the number of sworn agents at over 10,000, a proposed reduction of 10% would probably get their attention and interest quite nicely.

Sounds to me as if you are incredibly hysterical and maybe more than a little paranoid. Too many of the world's people are seeing America today as representative of what Germany was in the late 30's and they are expressing their own concerns.

Actually, you just haven't been informed, nor have you payed any attention.

Your attempt to be 'cute' is laughable at best.
You see, I live in NY state, home of Ithaca the city of evil.
Quite a few people here have said such WONDERFUL things, of which you are a denier.

On second thought, you're not a denier, you're just willfully ignorant.

"They (the local constabulary) are hooded, goggled, helmeted, jacketed, identity-less storm troopers".

Nope, they are courageous LE officers doing their jobs in difficult situation.

Remember, many of these demonstrating hordes, especially the international set of Seattle-type anti-capitalists, are full of nutcases, thugs and fanatics. They are not all your lovable college-campus types.

If I was a cop, you'd bet I'd wear full combat gear issued to me so I don't get an eye punctured out.....or much, much worse.

To call these officers storm troopers is way out of line, and I'm being polite here.

This is what the ACLU would rather hear:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has decided not to collect information on the tactics, training and organization of antiwar demonstrators and has advised local law enforcement officials to ignore any suspicious activity at protests to its counterterrorism squads, according to interviews and a confidential bureau memorandum. Furthermore, the Bureau has decided that since a substantial proportion of Americans can't tell the difference between prudent law enforcement and fascist police state tactics, it does not particularly care if fanatics kill another few thousand Americans and Sharia becomes the law of the land. A highly placed FBI source said, "I can't wait to see the looks on the faces of the NOW crowd, ACT-UP, the ACLU, ANSWER, and Al Sharpton when it becomes illegal in the USA for a woman to walk alone on the street, when homosexuality is punishable by death, peaceful demonstrators are arrested and never seen again, and union activity will get you sent to re-education camps."

I'm afraid you're right Eaker.
Hopefully we can at least delay that day for awhile longer.
Too many aren't ready for it yet.

To such an extent as I can be fully supplied and ready, I probably am, and would be happy to commence the ball but for two things.

The longer we can delay open hostilities of the sort experienced in Finland in 1918 for a four-month period the better, and the better unified we can appear behind our troops. Open attacks on them alter the equation, though, and their domestic enemies will not have the easy ride and wide-open hunting season on those in uniform they enjoyed during the Vietnam War period, however.

And there are some kids who deserve the opportunity to grow up in an America unsullied by such events for as long as possible. Just as we were spared such things in our youth, so too should we wait until the last practical moment...and then, turn the wolves loose, if it has to be. But until then, preparations can be as improved as possible, and the gift of any additional time to do so should not be wasted.
