"ENDANGERED" dirt. Enviro-whackos have found something new to stop building.

Fox news announces that the environmentalist whackos have now identified that there are as many as 500 types of dirt that might be endangered. (hello????) The dirt or soil is supposedly different than some other types of dirt and we should not build and destroy this dirt. Great way to stop building and progress.

in light of recent proof that plants feel pain, perhaps they are protecting the future food source of their brethren the vegans.

.....The researchers found 508 endangered soil series in the United States. Six states have more than half of their rare soil series in an endangered state, with Indiana leading the group at 82 percent, followed closely by Iowa at 81 percent. Most of the soil danger hotspots reside in the country's agricultural heartland......The researchers also found that 31 soils are effectively extinct because they have been nearly completely converted to agricultural or land use......

The Researchers = Ronald Amundson, professor of ecosystem sciences at UC Berkeley's College of Natural Resources

As usual they want to save it for future generations; if we can't touch it now what in the name of Sam Hill are the future generations going to do with it?

"I am going to start selling vials of endangered "pet dirt" to wackos and make a fortune."

More worrisom...
my cats have probably killed more endangered dirt (genuine LA river silt) than I could ever afford to pay for.

Where do I surrender?

One thing I learned growing up in Indiana was that dirt and soil are two totally and completely different things. Obviously these knuckleheads haven't a clue.

Is there any doubt that these people are insane?

No doubt whatsoever in my mind, yet they still make the news and the PC crowd agrees with them -- even in this craziness! And, if they get this agreed to, think of the power they will have.

Most of the soil danger hotspots reside in the country's agricultural heartland

Actually, this is quite a scary development. They're going after America's Breadbasket. It's no secret that many Marxists hide behind the environmentalist facade, and one well known weapon in the Marxists' arsenal is the "planned famine".

It's not so easy for me to just roll my eyes and blow this sort of thing off these days. Not after what happened at Klamath Falls. And, not after firemen were allowed to burn to death while fighting a forest fire, because they couldn't siphon water from a lake because it was inhabited by some d@mned endangered fish.

Things we once laughed at and said could never happen fifteen years ago are now standard operating procedure. I live in rural Northern Virginia and we've got some greenie-weenies in our county government. They refuse to pave the roads, because they can't seem to find anything "environmentally sound" to get the job done. They're downzoning everyone's property. They make developers drop to their knees and beg just to build one lousy home, and lately we've had a series of arsons committed by environmentalists, who've been burning developments to the ground during the mid-construction phase. Enough is enough.

When are we going to take the asylum back from the lunatics?
