There are way too many non-breaking news stories being placed in breaking news. It's gotten so bad, this is in breaking news. Please, if the story has been posted once in breaking news, it doesn't belong there again unless it's a critical update. Also, don't abuse topics. A story does not need to be posted in every single topic. It does not generate more hits to your thread.
Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant, Scott Peterson, etc, are not breaking news, unless convicted. This is tabloid journalism, we are a conservative forum.

Greenspan's story just hit the wire...it is breaking news and I did not see it posted before. Perhaps you are the one who needs to understand what is breaking news. "It's the economy, stupid" was a point well made during an election 10 years ago. Now if you want to treat your members like adults and send your costic comments "back channel", I will be interested in posting again. However, if you continue this attitude, you will not see my postings.
Um...I don't know if you intended this as some sort of deterrent, but to a person who is complaining about too many postings (in the wrong area), it probably WON'T be seen as a bad thing...maybe you should threaten to post LOTS.
I think you are on to something...perhaps all my future million postings will be "breaking news" (-:

If you abuse news long enough, it will break.

Dang!!! Now I'm going to have a hard time keeping up with all the tabloid news. But I'm sure FOX will keep me posted (annoyed) with all that meaningful news.
Jacko needs a deep estrogen immersion treatment - lock him up at Neverland with; J Lo, Britney, Halle, Pam Anderson and any number of other hotties. If that doesn't cure him of his lust for little boys - he can be Bubba's little plaything in the big house.
To: FlyLow; beezdotcom
Well, FlyLow, with an attitude like yours, where you "threaten" to post or not post to get your way, all I can say is that the rest of us will be rivited to read what such a mature adult as you have to say.
What the Admins say goes. Just like the Refs are always right. It works better that way.
To: FreeTheHostages; FlyLow
Now now, don't get your panties in a wad. Even if you disagree with FlyLow's "method of protest", he raises a valid point. 'Breaking News' is a somewhat subjective term. The Admins are perfectly free to interpret it however they choose, but that doesn't mean everybody has to swallow AND say it tastes good.
And, actually, the Refs aren't always right; calls sometimes get challenged successfully. You must be thinking about umpires...

Here for my flogging. Jacko going to the hole just screams out breaking news.

Well said. More game, less BS, always a good thing.
Point of order: this is only true when the BS isn't coming from the Refs. Otherwise, it just means that the injustice happens more quickly and you are pushed through the 'four stages of grief' much faster... ;-)

Dude, let's keep the goal in mind here.
You're right. I should be more focused on the rather subjective nature of the term 'breaking news', and how to possibly read the minds of the people who would object to my personal interpretation of said term. Thanks for getting me back 'on messsage'.
