The public and media are invited to attend this special conference at the National Press Club, in Washington, D.C. at 3:00 p.m. EST. "Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K." by Barr McClellan was released last month

Ah. He's pimping a book. No wonder he seeks publicity.

What kind of language is "pimping" a book? Since when is compensation for one's work and promotion of one's work considered "pimping"? (unless you are a communist, that is)

When he asks the US Congress to open archives early so his argument can be proven. That's showboating, or, IMO, pimping

Ol' sink has this thing about anything that calls into question the motives of anyone who doesn't go along with the government BS. That which is shovled out now, 40 years ago, and 140 years ago.

The History Channel is broadcasting another chapter of "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" in 10 minutes.

Yeah. Right.

Men shooting from under manhole covers is the stuff of this fantasy.

Pure bullhockey.

Oh, the "eyewitnesses" all have the appearance of refugees from the Goodwill store.

Not a one of them has any credibility.

I've read many books about the JFK assassination since the mid 70s and found that many different authors have struck on common themes. One is how unscrupulous LBJ was how he managed (with the help of his party) to throw elections, among other things. I've drawn the opnion that he was possibly one of the crookedest SOBs we've had the misfortune of leading our country. If the Freedom of Information Act helps to open up records that prove/disprove his complicity, I heartily welcome release of said information.

Everybody knows that Barr is a washed-up drunk.

The only reason he worked for Ambassador Clark's firm was his former father in-law, the beloved Dean Keeton at the UT Law School.

That's one of the reasons why he no longer lives in Texas and why his former wife, the current elected Republican Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, is known as Carole Keeton McClellan Rylander Strayhorn.

I've watched the history channel a bunch this week but it seems that each episode contradicts the next. I loved the one when the CIA hired the french hitmen made me laugh.

As a Texan, I can tell you that probably most of what you have heard about LBJ is true. At least that's the opinion I get whenever the subject of LBJ comes up among Texans who lived through the LBJ era in this state.

As far as the assassination goes, I haven't a clue who did it. Court TV is supposedly doing a Forensic show on it this week.

It was from a storm drain, which accounts for the entry wound beneath the adam's apple and the exit wound at the back of the head.
You really should watch instead of complain.

The retired Army Lieutenant Colonel of Special Forces is the most credible witness I've ever seen interviewed.

When he asks the US Congress to open archives early so his argument can be proven.

Regardless of his motives, those archives need to be opened. There is absolutely no reason to keep them from the knowledge of the general public.

Lots & lots of people thought LBJ had something to do with it. A lot of Texans thought that.

Keeping this stuff sealed makes you wonder what they're hiding.

The thing that amazed me on my many visits to Dallas relating to assassination conferences was the near unanimous opinions of the locals at restaurants, hotels, etc. was that they all, to a MAN, suspected LBJ's involvement.

Texans know him well...and while he never was at the top of my list of suspects, it bears watching to see if any more documentation to come implicates him. Frankly, I doubt it...
