The public and media are invited to attend this special conference at the National Press Club, in Washington, D.C. at 3:00 p.m. EST. "Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K." by Barr McClellan was released last monthAh. He's pimping a book. No wonder he seeks publicity.

I've read many books about the JFK assassination since the mid 70s and found that many different authors have struck on common themes. One is how unscrupulous LBJ was how he managed (with the help of his party) to throw elections, among other things. I've drawn the opnion that he was possibly one of the crookedest SOBs we've had the misfortune of leading our country. If the Freedom of Information Act helps to open up records that prove/disprove his complicity, I heartily welcome release of said information.

Lots & lots of people thought LBJ had something to do with it. A lot of Texans thought that.
Keeping this stuff sealed makes you wonder what they're hiding.

The History Channel deserves emails, faxes and congratulations for having the courage to run these very, very compelling shows about the Kennedy cover-up.
Nobody but a complete & total moron can believe, when presented with the calvacade of evidence that Lee H Oswald was the lone nut assassin. For crying out loud, Oswald was anti-Castro and was trying to get Castro assassinated, etc, etc, etc. And he was friends with Jack Ruby, etc, etc. Ruby had to quiet him from talking.
The ignorance is mind boggling. It is so sad. But I hear ABC is running a show this week that concludes that the Warren Commission was right. WHAT A JOKE. Who owns the History Channel? they deserve to be Lauded for their courage. Idiot outlets like ABC News that try to validate the Warren Commission might as well have Pee-Wee Herman host the show. They HAVE NO CREDIBILITY.
I GUARANTEE YOU BEHIND ANY SHADOW OF A DOUBT THAT LBJ was complicit in the cover-up, if not also in the plan and its action.

LBJ was perfectly capable of killing Kennedy. He was an incredibly nasty and ruthless man. Whether he did so, I have no idea. I agree that McClellan has an interest in making PR waves in order to sell his book. I'm not sure that's "pimping." Naturally an author wants his book to sell.
As for the files, whether or not McClellan has any credibility is beside the point. Why not release them? I seriously doubt that any national security interests are at stake. At most, probably, political embarassment.

I had heard that some records were to be sealed until 2020 or some such date.
Is this true?

Barr and I were best friends from Jr. High through high school. Then we lost touch when I went out of state to college.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Back in '63, I think he would've been still in law school, so he couldn't be expected to have first hand knowledge of any plot. But maybe he learned something later that gave rise to suspicions. I've ordered the book.

"1964 The United States government orders Kennedy assassination documents to be sealed for 75 years, until the year 2039. The Warren Commission records were sealed for 75 years!!!!
So its pointless to even discuss, measure, recreate blah blah blah anything to do with the JFK assination!

An important point: JFK's Dallas trip was announced in April. That gave the conspirator's 7 months to execute this. That's why everything was in place from the start to the finish.

"Blood, Money & Power: How L.B.J. Killed J.F.K." which clearly shows a direct connection between L.B.J. and the individual involved with the assassination and cover-up.Jeez, here we go again. Hasn't this thing been beaten to death already? That book isn't worth lining a bird cage.

What Barr is telling in his book is the truth,I am sure of it,or as close as he can get to the truth. Our government is still covering this up,it needs to be brought out into the open so the american people can finally put this mess behind them.I know for me it would be great to finally get the truth.
LBJ was a terrible man,my great grandfather had many dealings with him.
I have read many books and I believe Barr is the closest to the truth than any others investigators in this matter.
