Hello, my FRiends!
I'm writing from an internet cafe in an undisclosed location, and have an urgent prayer request. A very nice couple I met on a shuttle bus have a daughter in Michigan near Detroit (they're in FL now) who is undergong treatment for uterine sarcoma. It is nasty. I had a small percentage risk of having it prior to my hysterectomy in March, but thankfully didn't have it.
She does. She has had the surgery, but it spread to her lymph nodes. She is young, with two children, 5 and 11. She will be undergoing chemo - five days a week for six weeks (or is it 6 months? I don't recall). She desperately needs our prayers, and I offered to start this thread for her. Her parents are fully in agreement.
Her name is Joan Kelly. Please lift her up in prayer for healing and recovery, for her family and especially her children to feel God's peace, and for the Father to guide her caregivers' and physicians' hands.
I also ask that you ping your ping lists - I'm on a coin-operated computer, and can't stay on too long.
I exchanged email addresses with her parents, and they promised to keep me up to date.
Thank you, and God bless you.

How sad--will definitely keep her in my prayers.

A cousin of my husband's was diagnosed with breast cancer in April and had to undergo a mastectomy and chemo. She is 33 with a husband and 2 year old daughter. Her prognosis is good and she is in great spirits. I believe her family and friends' prayers have sustained her.

Here's hoping Joan has the same result. Bless you for starting this thread.

    Thanks so much.

I've gotta go now, before they repossess my keyboard. Thank you for keeping this going in my absence, and God bless you. When I see her parents, I'll tell them what you all are doing for their daughter.

Lord, we do not understand suffering, but we are grateful that You have promised to be with us in the midst of it.
