In 1995, Michael Jackson, in his first LP after the out-of-court settlement of an accusation of child molestation, lashed out at law enforcement and the media in the double-album HIStory. It featured "Scream," a track recorded with his sister Janet (in which he dropped an F-bomb), " Childhood" (the theme of Free Willy 2) and the regrettable anti-Semitic song "They Don't Really Care About Us" ("Sue me, Jew me, everybody do me...Kick me, kike me, don't you black or white me...").
HIStory was a truly subpar effort from Jackson, and slid steadily off the charts after the first few weeks. However, one of the better tracks was a rock-tinged dance track called "D.S." (featuring guitar wizard Slash from Guns N'Roses) about a shady character named "Dom S. Sheldon." There is no Dom Sheldon. But there is a Thomas Sneddon.
From AP News earlier today:
Charges "will be filed" against Jackson, District Attorney Thomas W. Sneddon Jr. said. Sneddon advised Jackson: "Get over here and get checked in."
Sneddon earned Jackson's ire when he was the man heading the investigation into the allegations of child molestation a decade ago. Although the lyrics say "Dom Sheldon is a cold man," a close listen to Jackson's vocal reveal that throughout the song, he is singing "Tom Sneddon is a cold man."
Here are the full lyrics:
D.S.
Written and composed by Michael Jackson They wanna get my ass
Dead or alive
You know he really tried to take me down by surprise
I bet he missioned with the CIA
He don't do half what he say
Chorus:
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
He out to shock in every single way
He'll stop at nothing just to get his political say
He think he hot cause he's BSDA [S.B. D.A.?]
I bet he never had a social life in any way
You think his brother (?) with the KKK?
I know his mother never taught him right anyway
He want your vote just to remain DA
He don't do half what he say
Repeat Chorus twice
Does he send letters to the FBI?
Did he say to either do it or die?
Repeat Chorus twice [Ad lib fade]

Well, I guess he could claim malicious prosecution since he has a part with this D.A.

Good grief. Sounds like a profane third-grader. Did you really think that he was at a higher stage of development?

This guy is stupid enough to allow his children to be unsupervised around Jackson. The blind belief in Jackson's innocence by people like him will provide the next round of victims.
To: L.N. Smithee
"Holding 2013's victim" means the last molestation charge the whacked one got away with was a decade ago, and his next victim will press charges a decade from now. IMHO, of course.
