WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) Authorities are investigating whether Rush Limbaugh, already reeling from drug problems and his expulsion from ESPN, may have driven his vehicle just below the posted speed limits on numerous occasions, a law enforcement source who spoke on condition of anonymity said Wednesday.
As long as four years ago, local law enforcement manning Florida DUI checkpoints and 'speed traps' repeatedly clocked the ultraconservative demagogue at anywhere from one to six miles per hour below the applicable speed limits. Unconfirmed reports indicate that Limbaugh was also seen proceeding through intersections while traffic lights were yellow. One officer who declined to be named told the AP that he had personally observed Limbaugh cruising at 43 in a 45 MPH zone. No charges were filed at that time.
Critics contend that Limbaugh drove very close to the speed limit on at least 30 or 40 occasions, most likely with the deliberate intent of getting to his destination while avoiding tickets for speeding.
Limbaugh's attorney, Roy Black, did not return a phone call for comment Wednesday.

I heard he was a lesbian trapped in a man's body, and that he also only is coherent when he's by himself or with someone.

The question is, what is the definition of a "limit?" If the limit is $10,000, then why would the feds investigate transactions of $9,900? Why not just make the limit $9,900, or would they then investigate withdrawals of $9,800 and so on and on?
There are similar limits for corporations reporting stock purchases. Corporations have to report purchases over something like 5% of total outstanding stock in order to inform others of potential takeovers. However, corporations can structure the purchases so that they exceed the limit in one chunck that puts them way over the limit. For example, see how Pennzoil structured their purchases of Chevron stock after winning a large settlement from Texaco. Chevron thought that Pennzoil was attempting a takeover because of the way they structured the purchase, which was legal but was intended to maximize their purchase before triggering the reporting limit.
So, when is a limit a limit?

You are in the big time now. Your head will will be swelling and soon you will think you are too good for the rest of us rabble.
Congratulations. I was listening to Rush as I was preparing for work. I checked out FR before I even looked at the news. I knew ya'll would be abuzz.

So
f@#$ing what!
Lets assume that he was trying to skirt "government attention" (not that he was but for arguments sake)
Who the f#&$ do these people think they are (and who the FU*& do you think you are) that think not wanting government attention is a BAD thing?!
LIMITED government is a necessary evil. BIG government is PURE evil. Look at how far you have been drug down. You are ACTUALLY arguing that someone is possibly a criminal because they were withdrawing their OWN money from a bank without notifying the
f@#%ing government. If I had as much money as Rush I would do the same damn thing just out of principle. Just my way of flipping the government the bird.

So in your mind this "confirms" something he has already admitted to. OK... SO WHAT!
If you cant handle the fact that someone (anyone) can get addicted to this painkiller. That someone with back pain, at times, would rather DIE than continue to suffer would take these pills. FINE! Please go on your little Fu#$ing merry way down the road and dont listen to him. To come on here and ARGUE your idiotic point lends to the belief that what you state is not the truth. Only a moron who calls himself a conservative or a liberal (much of a difference?) would ACTIVELY attempt to discredit him based on news reports from the liberal media.
ANOTHER THING...
I honestly couldnt give a
sh@t less if absolutely EVERYTHING that has been SPECULATED on is true. As a conservative fighting a WAR against collectivism I will take my fellow soldier where I can get them. Rush is one hell of a soldier for OUR side and I will stick by him NO MATTER WHAT.
Crawl back under your rock coward. This war is for REAL men.

Oh lord, someone named Dave from Las Vegas e-mailed Rush to look it over carefully, as it was a joke. I am laughing so hard. Yeah, looks like I'd have to get up pretty early in the morning to put one over on ol' Dave. ROTFL...

at what point are we all guilty of this "terrible crime" of going to your bank and taking money of it. is it now our responsibility to only remove those amounts which are only applicable with the government's approval? it may come as a shock to some, but not everyone wants the government in their business..constantly. you may find it an ok way to live your life, others don't want the hassle.
To: Bronco_Buster_FweetHyagh
But this drug thing, and now apparently money launderingSorry, I don't care what anyone says, but withdrawing YOUR OWN money from YOUR OWN bank account is NOT money laundering.

So let's do the math. Since we're using rumors, the rumors are that his last contract was worth $17,000,000. Not counting any additional money he made for the short lived ESPN gig.
40*9900 = 0.02329411...
2.3 percent of his disposable income. Obviously we're dealing with some sort of cad who is trying to launder 2.3% of his paycheck.
If the report was Limbaugh withdrew 2.3% of his income from his bank account in increments under the federal watch limit, what would you think?
Knowing that he is a multi-millionare, plus the fact that any reasonable person with that much money would limit their withdrawals to under the federal watch limit. That is standard advice from their financial planner. Doo you still feel the same? The watch limit exists to catch people passing millions through the bank. Not some new money millionaire blowing the wad on fancy cigars.

I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt but after reading four of your posts so far I'd like to get your honest opinion before rendering my judgment on you.
What did you think about William J. Clinton's - a.k.a. champion of the little people through taxation & redistribution - giving pardon to Mark "$48 million evader" Rich?

Saw your "article" linked when I went to Rush's site today. Congrats!!! It is really funny...Rush obviously thought so too!!! I really enjoyed reading the posts as I listened to Rush. :)
