I had the honor of meeting Laura Bush in Columbia, SC during the primary season. There were 6 or 8 of us in a circle for about 10 minutes and afterwards we all commented that we were in the presence of a woman who had a definite aura (and I don't typically talk that way) and serenity about her that we'd never encountered in another living human being. She was engaged, confident, yet humble and the kindness and light just shined out of her.

We also had the pleasure of meeting George Bush 4 times while he was campaigning and we actually talked once for about 3-4 minutes; other times I just shook his hand and got his autograph and chatted for a few seconds. He is a much more powerful presence that does not translate to television (which is typically a very bad thing for a politician!) LOL

Okay, I know this is a tangent, and I know that nobody has made any allegations that the foundation had anything to do with this, but I just want to put it out there that I have always had an uncomfortable feeling about that group.

Not that I know of anything specific they have done, but it's just that every star that has ever plugged that group as their charity of choice was, by coincidence, already categorized in my mind as a "probable sneaky bad person" for one reason or another. Enough that it made me notice the name of the charity *years* ago, and wonder if there was something phony or wierd about the group.
