This is a good step. All Gray Davis rules are halted. We need regulatory relief in California.

If Arnold does something about the cost of workers compensation I will buy an Arnie action figure and build an alter to worship it.

Is this something novel in California? In Virginia, every governor institutes a regulatory review process. They don't all complete it, but they all start it in some form.

No but I can't remember the last time Davis actually stopped a regulation.

I **** AM **** SO, **** SOOOOOOO **** DARNED **** H*A*P*P*Y ***** !!!!!!!!!!

In lower San Joaquin Valley we have a new law forbidding us to light fires in our fireplace on deemed nights (last night was the first night).

FURTHER, there is a LAW stating that, after 1 JAN 04, it will be illegal to sell one's home WITH WORKING FIREPLACES!!!! If Mr. Schwartzeneggar can save us from these kinds of Hitleresque actions, maybe the man IS a "SUPERHERO"?

Wow, my sister-in-law has a fireplace in her house in Hanford and my brother has a fireplace in his house in Corona. What do they have to do, plug up the chimney with insulation or something? And I suppose they can't mention the fireplace in the ad for the house.

BTW I have a house with a working fireplace here in Phoenix. We have no-burn nights in Maricopa County because of particulates or something. I don't think it's enforced, though.

In addition, each agency will also conduct a 90-day review of all regulations adopted, amended or repealed in the last five years to determine if they are necessary, clear, consistent and are not unnecessarily burdensome or cause undue harm to California's economy. All findings will be submitted to the Governor's Legal Affairs Secretary.

I don't expect the socialist folks who have infiltrated the agencys will find that there is any problems. Is there any way for private citizens to get specific examples to the Governor's Legal Affairs Secretary?

There is nothing in the press statement regarding public input. The Board of Forestry is on record stating that the coho salmon rules will negatively impact small business (possibly due to my testimony in September of 2000).
These emergency regs have been given annual extensions since July 2000. They should be repealed, but I don't see CDF or WQ saying such. What's a concerned citizen to do?

Arnold is setting them up! After the review is over, if the agency throws up their hands and says "we've done a thorough review and we can't find any problems", then Arnold pulls out his list that Donna Arduin has worked up and says "Vat about dees vaste, und vat about dat vaste?", and then has reason to fire the agency head.

My understanding is that Arduin was "Speared" in the Assembly yesterday, mostly for not knowing what she was talking about. She apparently didn't even know that there is already a $15 billion dollar bond measure for schools on the March ballot.

I told you folks that it would take six months to a year for Arnold's people to learn where the bodies are buried.

There is someone who is ready, and willing to help who already knows. Too bad their egoes are too big to talk to him. Meanwhile, the bleeding continues.
