Nice try News Week. To bad we know better!

Showtime will broadcast the Reagan movie in the U.K. Such good news! The law of defamation in Britain makes it far easier for the Reagans to sue for MEGA DAMAGES! I hope they sue Viacom, CBS, and everyone involved with this project and request punitive damages. Perhaps CBS (SeeBS) may be renamed "RNC" (Reagan News Channel)in the near future.

U.S. News: Gibson's 'Passion' Far More Controversial Than 'The Reagans' Far more truthful, too.
In fact, even if the stuff those against the movie said was true, it would still be a slight twisting of actual events and actions, rather than the approach taken by the Reagan producers, which was to make some stuff out of whole cloth and omit large portions of reality. It's "Whaddaya know, the Sanhedrin had a lot of Jews in it" vs. "Nancy, I'm the Anti-christ and I wish painful death on all those homos." Puhleaze!
BTW, one of the least-reported and most relevant facts in the REagan controversy is the fact (reported on Fox Media Watch) that CBS asked the production company to do a love story about the Reagans, a romance with politics as a backdrop. Instead they got Bush is Reagan was Hitler. It could have been "The Hitlers" and the only difference would have been the male lead's hairstyle and the presence of a small mustache.

Reagans was filled with lies. Passion is 2000 year old truths challenged by 'crucifixion deniers'.

History is filled with examples of Man's inhumanity to Man. Only the ignorant blame an entire group for the hatred of a few. You can know more change or ignore the events of the Crucifixion than you can the events surrounding the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Should we also change/ignore that history because it may enrage a few people against the Japanese? Oh, I forgot...we also had that controversy during the release of Bruckheimer's, Pearl Harbor.
And if it's hatred we want to avoid, maybe we should stop talking about the Holocaust as most Germans weren't anti-Semitic. I'm sure there are those who still feel hatred from that horrible ordeal. It's history; it reminds us of who we are and how far we've come...and if we forget it we may be doomed for a repeat. This is why I hate liberal revisionism, because it's nothing more than living a lie. The irony in this is that they are creating more hatred because of thier objections to this movie.

This movie is misunderstood and vilified by those Jews who can't figure out that this movie isn't about them, but about Jesus.

the "priest" was a Jesuit.
Many Jesuit's are so far left that they make Episcopalians like Bishop Robinson look liberal...

Now that Gibson has the movie's distribution nailed down, it seems to me that any controversy will be free publicity.

I am not really religious at all, and I don't consider myself to be a "christian", but I do respect Jesus's suffering for his beliefs and for who he, and other claimed he was (son of god). I am very much looking forward to seeing this film for its historical content.

This movie will be a success no matter who tries to put their foot on it. Everyone should buy at least one copy..
This will be the first movie that I have ever bought.
If I have too, depending on how many theaters it is shown in, I will travel to see it if it's a 100 miles away..
