US Constitutiona Amendment to Save Marriage...NOW!
Self | 11-18-03 | Always Right

Posted on 11/18/2003 7:28:05 AM PST by Always Right

Now that the Mass. Supreme Court has acted to force the legislature to adopt gay marriage, the time is now for Republicans to act to save this most basic institution of this country. We need a US Constitutional Amendment to save us from activist courts who assult religion and basic family values. The public will be outraged over this and the GOP must capitolize on it. The GOP must put the Democrats in a bind. Oppose the Amendment and lose their base, or support it and expose themselves as the radicals they are.

Now is the time to act. Put this issue at the forefront for the next election. Don't just make it an issue, make it a real topic with real Amendments that are gonna be passed.

Constitutional Amendments are for how the government is supposed to operate, not how people are supposed to operate.
Are we now in the position where "rights" have to be specifically defined with a Constitutional Amendment?
I sure hope not 'cause that monkey barrel is a straight shot to hell in a handbasket for this nation.

The bull is being led around by a nose ring and doesn't mind at all!

Wether you believe it or not gays are just plain born gay.

No. they're not. Ask your church for an exorcism. AIDs is breathing down their necks. Will you cheer at their funerals, too? Think about the death choice you're celebrating. These are your babies. They were innocent once.

No thanks. Marriage is not a federal matter. We don't need more big government involvement in these local matters.

Yippie!!!! I am thrilled about this decision. Both my son and my daughter are Gay.

I feel so sorry for you. Your children have been lost. You've become so blinded by your love for them you can no longer see. You have a very sad story. How horrorfying for a mother. I can't even imagine your plight.

I not only don't believe it, I know for a fact that it is a lie. Being gay is a behavior. Anyone who wishes to blame 'gayness' completely on genetics is not being intellectually honest. To deny the influence of the environment and personal choice, is just that, denial. I am not gonna to argue there are not genetic and biological influences, because there are. But to flat out insist it is all genetics is crazy and flies in the face of all research in the subject.

When state courts usurp power it is a federal matter. The local people and their representatives have been overturned by an activist court. Unless we start fighting with every weapon we have, we will lose this country.

This is great that Massachusett's gay judges did this. Let all the fudgepackers move there and be clients of the Dickem and Dunkem (Ted Kennedy) law firm.

Please, there are still a few folks from the Bay state who favor moral decency!

THAT IS A COMPLETE LIE

Monozygotic twins studies have proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that queers are not born that way. And the worst part is that the burden of proof is on the queers, not us. You should be ashamed of yourself for having brought your kids up queer.

I think fundamentalists just can't stand the idea of homosexual unions being legalized because it undermines the status of their religious beliefs.

Admit it, your queer. Only queers use the argument of "fundamentalism" to try and rationalize the average persons loathing of queers. I'm surprised you didn't use the term "fundie" -- they love to throw that one around.

"Besides, what harm does it do?"

The law of unintended consequences.

- get gay marriage legal
- wait for churchs to create a policy denying membership to those in gay marriages while allowing hetro married couples to join
- PR campaign to brand churches as human rights violators
- sue churchs for violating the rights of gays
- courts impose penalties on churches (require they change membership rules or have tax fee status revoked)
- party on as churches knuckle under to the courts or go belly up financially

That harm.

"My plight" ???

Rather it is my JOY! My children are terrific human beings abundant with compasion and love. Both are high achievers, graduating with honors from top universities and volunteering in their communites and beyond. My son has a souple hour a week part time job with his church and a yar form now will be in Africa with the Peace Corps. This is in addition to the volunteer work he did rebuilding dilapidated homes in Hazard West Virgina with his church. He also does food walks for the hungry and other community works.

My daughter vounteers for the Special Olymics, home tutors students with emotional diabilites, and other community service. They lead rich full lives, their lives are not centered around "the Gay Agenda." Like all Gays they know what it is like to be marginalized by society (peopel liek the posters on this message board)and they help others in their community and beyond on a regular ongoing basis.

My Plight? I think not, rather they are my Pride. I am proud of their achievments and what they do for humainty. They learned it at home and being gay is just a part of their lives it is not their whole life.

I don't think you all here get it. My children are accepted in their workplaces and by the community. You and your opinions are now in the minority. The tide has turned and you don't realize it. Being gay for them is just a matter of fact and it is taken that way by others they work and interact with.

The point of the amendment is to restore one aspect of true marriage that is under fire - it's defined components. The left wants it to be man/man, woman/woman, etc. We are saying that it is between one man adn one woman only. That is all. It doesn't address divorce or anything else.

Who cares what their GPA was, John Wayne Gacy was a successful businessman, does that rationalize his behavior??

And probably won't live past 40 thanks to your support of their deathstyle choice. Some mother you are.

So it is.

My marriage of 33+ years does not need to be "protected" by a constitutional ammendment - thank you. For all those who have been married only once, faithful, and in good standing with all your vows - don't need protection. Only those who are unsure of themselves and their relationship need protection.

I'm not going to post any more messages. You have no more to fear from gay marriage than you have from interracial marriage. As the Supreem Court said, citizens have a right to privacy, especially in their bedrooms. I made my point, and am perfectly happy to move on.

Not sure where you get your data. Possibly the Family Research Council? Please back up your claim.

The majority of homosexuals do indeed live past 40.

If you wish to support your position effectively, I would suggest that you avoid posting obviously erroneous information. It makes you appear an uninformed and gullible pawn.

No einstein, the legal definition of marriage and the roles of the spouses will be bastardized beyond belief. You see no problem with queers getting a hold of kids? What about the inevitable attack and destruction of all sectarian institutions that teach this chosen behavior is wrong?

I hope you actually think about issues before you vote.

Even liberals have admitted the "gay tolerance" is Marxist propaganda. They're one very sick 1% of the population. They really should be sent back to the mental institutions. They're not sane. They're not "equal" at all. They're very, very ill.
You shouldn't be proud. You should hang your head in shame for not being there to raise your kids normally. You're just as guilty as they are. It will forver be engraved into your soul.
It would be better to have a millstone tied around your neck and be thrown into the sea than for you on the day of judgement - and you know it.

Nope, average age of death for a practicing male homo is 41.
