Not only do they have his movements tracked, which will tell a story in inself but they have HIS voice hundreds of times. NOTICE: He was probably calling Amber from the Search the first night. I guess that's why the Rocha's said "All he did was talk on the phone"!! And yes, As USUAL, Geragos CANNOT DELIVER!!

Scott Peterson to stand trial
JUDGE RULES THERE IS ENOUGH EVIDENCE IN DOUBLE HOMICIDE CASE
By Chuck Carroll and Julia Prodis Sulek
Mercury News

...The final witness presented the contents of some of the taped phone conversations between Peterson and his mistress, Amber Frey, whom Peterson said he was ``longing to hold onto'' after the disappearance of his wife, Laci.

It was during a taped cell phone call on Jan. 6 -- two weeks after Laci Peterson was reported missing -- that Frey told Peterson she knew he was married and that it was his wife who was missing. When asked why Peterson hadn't told her about everything, he responded that he kept it from her because he was ``longing to hold onto you,'' Modesto police detective Jon Buehler said, quoting from a transcript of the call.

Then Frey, who was cooperating with police by then, allegedly asked Peterson why she shouldn't go to the police with the information about their relationship.

Prosecutors suggest Peterson killed his wife so that he could be with Frey.

Defense attorney Mark Geragos, however, got Buehler to admit that Peterson never tried to dissuade Frey from going to authorities.

``It's your decision,'' Peterson replied to her question.

``Really?'' Frey asked?

``Of course,'' he said.

Buehler also testified today about Peterson's behavior in the days after his wife and unborn son's bodies washed ashore in the San Francisco Bay -- suggesting he was about to flee.

When Peterson was arrested near a San Diego golf course on April 18 he was carrying $15,000 cash, his older brother's drivers license and a car full of clothing and camping gear -- including a backpack, climbing rope, hammock, camp stove, water purifier and fishing rod and reel.

In the last conversation the two had, on Feb. 19, Frey told Peterson, ``I think it would be best if we didn't talk until there's resolution in this thing.''

Earlier today, it was the number of phone calls the two made to each other in the three months surrounding the Christmas Eve disappearance of Peterson's wife, Laci, that was the first subject of testimony today.

Stanislaus County district attorney's investigator Steve Jacobson, who was in charge of the wiretapping operation against Peterson, cited records showing that Frey and Peterson called each other by cell phone at least 241 times between Nov. 19 and Feb. 19.

Jacobson said the two called each other at least once nearly every day during the period -- and 16 times the day after Christmas -- two days after Laci Peterson was reported missing. All but two of the Dec. 26 calls were originated by Frey, who was not yet working with police.

Two days that they did not call each other are notable: Dec. 24, the day police believe Peterson killed his wife, and Valentine's Day.

Whether the two lovers spent Valentine's Day together was not discussed in court.

Modesto police detective Jon Buehler, who was assigned to handle Frey during the investigation, coached her on what to ask Peterson about during phone calls they made after the disappearance of laci Peterson, who was eight months pregnant.

ROFL! All Geragos did was ask for the $15,000 that Snotty had on him when he was arrested. I chuckled out loud when I heard the Prosecutor said they had to hold that money and the truck as "evidence" for the trial. ~snort~

Scott Peterson to stand trial for deaths
AP | 11/18/03 | BRIAN MELLEY

MODESTO, Calif. (AP) — Scott Peterson will stand trial on two counts of murder for the death of his wife, Laci Peterson, and her unborn son, charges that could bring the death penalty, a judge ruled Tuesday.
Stanislaus County Superior Court judge Al Girolami said prosecutors presented enough evidence over 11 days of testimony to show probable cause that Peterson killed his pregnant wife and dumped her body in San Francisco Bay.

Prosecutors presented a loose-knit web of circumstantial evidence that pointed toward Peterson from the moment he phoned his in-laws after returning home from an impromptu fishing trip on Christmas Eve last year.

The defense contends that police suffered from tunnel vision once they locked their focus on Peterson.

The judge set an arraignment for Dec. 3 in Modesto.

You're not missing anything! There are many things that bolster Amber's credibility, if (as many feel) it needs bolstering. As you said, it's HIS voice on tape! They can discredit the tape, and that's about it! ("Ladies and Gentlemen, it's obvious that she painstakingly recorded innocent words he said, then cut and spliced them together to make what sound like incriminating statements...")

Amber's credibility is further bolstered by the fact that she's not the only one who says Scott gave her the false widower line. And the dates she went on with Scott? There are pictures, and there were other people there.

Yeah, I suppose it would only take three stairs, but I'd still rather push him down the stairs on the side of an Aztec pyramid or something.

Again, I hope that Peterson today "realizes" "catches a clue" etc. that he's in caca up to his eyeballs!! There is NOTHING MUCH BETTER than one's OWN voice to incriminate oneself!!

OOO!OOO! Okay, folks--left Modesto at 11 am! And we know he made his call to Laci's phone or to the home phone, saying it was 2:15 and he was leaving Berkeley! So he left home at 11, which means he would have arrived in Berkeley at 12:30. And he left Berkeley around 2:15 (according to his own words). So he was there for a grand total of one and a half hours. Or 1 hr. 45 min. at the most.

How do you launch the boat, go out a couple miles or more, fish, come back in a couple miles or more, take the boat out, and hook it up, all in 1 1/2 hours or so? Wouldn't you get about 15 minutes of fishing time at most? And if you were trawling, why would you need all those anchors and why would you have sunk them at all? Since we "know" he must have used the anchors, b/c I'm sure he's gonna say the other 4 were lost in the Bay.

I'm wondering when Geragos's courthouse steps "speeches" are going to be muted!! His case is in Big Trouble. All of his "possible scenarios" are rediculous if not preposterous. As some of us BELIEVERS have said, we have a LOT MORE to come from the Prosescution. The cement chunks on the pants are very damning!! That cement or mineralization can be forensically matched!! (I say that as I heard it from Henry Lee)!!
