The pathologist explained that Connor's head and neck were closer in diameter because "in a decomposed baby, the head is collapsing."

I swear, I could push the needle on this guy myself.

Geragos also suggested the tape might have been used by the baby's killers to tie a plastic bag around his neck.

There is a place in hell for this man.

It has been reported that there were "shadows" in the warehouse (I think that was the place) where Scott made four anchors in addition to the one that was found. Where are they?

Geragos is ready to go to trial because he sees his position breaking down now. Interesting.

I read the transcripts.

The hair questions will drive everyone nuts at trial as Geragos will spend a week implying it was planted and/or contaminated.

I do think the jury can get past all the fogging,possibles,maybes and what ifs and accept Connor's birth after his and Laci's death.

The empty circles with concrete dust encircling ,the same size as the anchors they believe he made and used to weight the body may be allowed only as descriptions of the scene,but not described to be what I believe and the LE believe.

5:05 p.m., PST: Scott Peterson researched bodies of water on his home computer - including San Francisco Bay, where the remains of his wife and son were recovered, a technology expert testified this afternoon.

But Modesto police forensic computer investigator Kirk Stockham also acknowledged during the 11th day of testimony in the ongoing preliminary hearing that Peterson had visited sport fishing Web sites as well.

Peterson, 31, told police he fished alone in the bay Christmas Eve before returning to an empty house. Authorities believe he killed his pregnant wife, Laci, that morning or the night before.

Prosecutors said they intend to rest their double-murder case tomorrow, and lead defense attorney Mark Geragos of Los Angeles said he may call no witnesses. That would conclude the three-week hearing, at the end of which Judge Al Girolami will decide whether there is enough evidence to warrant a trial.

Peterson faces the death penalty if convicted.

Prosecutor Rick Distaso said he intends tomorrow to call Modesto police Detective Jon Buehler to the stand. Buehler served as handler to Amber Frey, Peterson’s girlfriend when his wife disappeared.

Frey has said she did not know Peterson was married when they met Nov. 20. She has cooperated with authorities since Dec. 30, including taping her phone conversations with the defendant.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if he would testify to some of their communications,” said Gloria Allred, Frey’s attorney.

California law regarding preliminary hearings allows detectives to relay their conversations with key witnesses, sparing them from testifying. The witnesses must appear at trial, however.

Geragos reserved the right to call Frey as a witness for the defense at the ongoing hearing. Geragos said he will decide after hearing what Buehler has to say.

“Once they put the person on, I’ll make a decision,” Geragos said. If Geragos does call Frey, the Fresno massage therapist and single mother would not be available to testify immediately, Allred said. Allred and Geragos would not hazard a guess as to whether Girolami would allow tape recordings of conversations between Peterson and Frey to be played at the hearing.

Stockham said Peterson had researched lakes and reservoirs in the Central ......

Appears Garagos wants to end the prelim but I'm not sure this means that he wants to go to trial anytime soon. Greta has speculated that the prosecution has not revealed its case as of yet. Should be a very interesting trial. Can't remember--is it going to be televised?

I saw an interesting question posed on another website last night:

What did Scott say to Laci about his activities as he was leaving the house Dec. 24:
a. I'm going fishing an hour and a half away on a boat that you don't know about...
b. I'm going golfing a short way away (thereby lying to her)...
c. I'm just going to goof around today (after their discussion of his affair)...

They all sound like losers to me.

They all sound like lies, starting with the fact that he mostly likely did "say" anything to her at all, since she was most likely dead. :-)

And another thing...

Scott came home to Laci's car in the driveway, but the house is quiet and the dog's in the backyard.

With a straight face he says he takes off his clothes, takes a shower, eats pizza, drinks milk and THEN wonders where his hugely pregnant wife is????

Has he never watched Lucy? "Hi, honey, I'm home!"

Why didn't he ask Sharon if she knows where Laci is, is she okay, did she go into labor? That would be my first thought if I came home to an empty house after being gone all day.

His behavior only makes sense if he knows EXACTLY where she is, safely tucked away where she can't bother him. But she manages!!! Hee hee, go Laci! You got in the last word!
