One of the other websites has a timeline which mentions the blue wrapping tarp getting away from him while out in the bay in the wee hours. I'm not sure if that is conjecture or in evidence.

That writer suggests that he went back on the 24th to see if he could find the tarp, not just to check to see if the body had risen.

Maybe he was still hoping to use the golf alibi, but too many people saw him up there on the 24th.

His phone call to 'Laci' probably was his brilliant scheme to exploit Plan B, genius that he thinks he is. lol

That's what I'm guessing, but the doctor's remarks about "wetness alternating with dryness" (not an exact quote) seems to be more supportive of your idea that maybe the mineralization happened while she was lying on the shore.

You know, there's a certain type of crab trap that is a big rectangle made of wire. You can see into the trap, b/c it's just wires; you can look into the water and see how many crabs are in the trap. It has an opening that crabs can enter, but which they can't exit. You just attach a piece of fresh meat on the inside, and they go in and start eating away at the meat. Crabs are voracious feeders.

Now that I think again of how he probably put chicken wire around her body, it makes me think that he set it up almost like those crab traps--except here, the bait was a real human being. UGH!!

I found the whole hearing transcript for yesterday.."Longing to hold onto you" somehow turned my stomach the most.Even Roy Black said the jury is going to hate him when they hear this tape.His pregnant wife has disappeared and he is talking to Amber like this.

I just know there has to be something else in those tapes that is incriminating.He is just too stupid and arrogant to be too careful.

Absolutely. Scott Peterson has lied his way through life up until and including now. This guy can make up lies on the spot. I doubt he can distinguish between truth and lies. As long as what he says gets him by for the moment that is all that matters.

One thing we know is in the tapes somewhere is Amber asking him if he had anything to do with Laci's disappearance, and his replying, "Yes...um...no, but I know who did..."

That's gonna be hard for his attorneys to explain.

That's so funny, b/c just last night I, too, went and read the Websleuths timeline! It's good, isn't it?

One thing I wasn't sure about that was in their timeline was that at least 2 and maybe 4 people saw Scott at the Berkeley marina at about 12:00-12:15 p.m. on Dec. 24.

There was a lot of stuff I recall but don't where I read it.I know when Scott was caught it was said he had a passport in his brother's name.I searched and found one article that said he had a partially filled out passport application.
I don't believe this was mentioned at the prelim. I know I heard about the witnesses to the boat launch..where ,I don't know.Crime News 2000 has a pretty good forum ,too.
