IF DRIVING A HIGH PROFILE VEHICLE... USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING TODAY AND THIS EVENING

I guess I’ll have to leave my pink and purple caddie pimp mobile in the garage tonight, and use the gray K-car.

I am staying indoors, for fear of flying awnings.

If we get enough wind blowing across enough chimneys at the right angle, it will sound like a giant beer-bottle band.

Yep - we all do it, it's in our genes here.

I read your "about page" and, I've got relatives in and from Donegal and Mayo as well.

It's not THAT windy in Atlanta this morning.

But we have a similar beer-bottle band effect at our house on the chimney and the narrow passage where the house backs up to a nearby hill. Add to that the trains blowing at the milepost for a nearby grade crossing, and you have a regular Silly Symphony.

The band was really cooking last night. Woke me up. High wind warnings in effect for Atlanta this AM, but not to the extent that you guys have it.

It used to drive me crazy in my younger (aka single) days. Meet a girl from Jersey (tons of good ones) then never figure out how to break the "where do you live code".

Here in Wilmington, Delaware, the wind shattered one of the glass panes on the revolving door in the building where I work. Fortunately no one was hurt.

I'm in Montgomery County. You may be interested in this link. It's an online scanner for Chester County. I'm listening to it now and it's very active.

The last three days I raked leaves into piles for the township to pick up. Three acres worth. Today, my new neighbor owns them all. Welcome neighbor.

Bundoran is the town in Donegal where it all began for us. Still have some cousins there but we're not close.

That part of Ireland is strongly Scots. There was a kind of a shuttle thing going on between the two areas for centuries. It was especially active in the 1800s. A lot of Irish from there are really Scots transplants.

Interesting. My cousin is our family geneologist, I'll have to ask her. I havent been to the Island yet, hope to go next next with a local group going over for some golf and pub hopping. Will probably take a detour and do some family homework.

I think he would have preferred a visit from the Welcome Wagon instead.
