WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony this morning at Arlington National Cemetery in observance of Veterans Day. After making remarks at Arlington, Bush planned to talk about Iraq in a speech at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, an event sponsored by the conservative Heritage Foundation.

Also Tuesday, Bush was signing the Fallen Patriots Tax Relief Act, which doubles the tax-free death gratuity payment given to the families of fallen soldiers from $6,000 to $12,000; and the National Cemetery Expansion Act to help establish new national cemeteries for deceased veterans in southeastern Pennsylvania and in and around Birmingham, Ala., Jacksonville and Sarasota, Fla., Bakersfield, Calif., and Greenville and Columbia, S.C.

There are an estimated 19 million veterans in the United States, and about 1,500 die each day. With an aging World War II generation, the Veterans Affairs Department estimates the number of veterans dying is expected to peak at 687,000 in 2006.

Today's news was just filled with democratic hate mongers ranging from Charlie Rangel and John Kerry to the writers of all the articles saying Bush hates veterans. It was hard to find a story that spoke of this event without all of the hate rhetoric so I just cut it out of this one.

Live on FNC--President Bush is being escorted to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier--I keep think how Clinton's friend Larry somebody had to be disinterred from Arlington because he had faked his combat resume in order to get buried in Arlington--big Clinton donor buys heroic resting place...the usual Clinton crap. How proud I am of never falling for Clinton's garnage.

Prayer for our Veterans and their Commander in Chief bump. God continue to bless our country.

I spent last Veterans Day in the rain at Arlington, listening to the President give a nice speech in recognition of our veterans.

I wish I could have been there. It must have been so emotionally moving to see it in person.

What was funny is when my Dad and I went out there to Arlington, we had no idea the President was scheduled to speak. Didn't discover who the keynote speaker was until I read through the program. :-) Definitely a nice surprise. Only time I'd ever heard a President in person.
