I don't know about a legal list. I am pinging someone who might know.
Torie, your opinion on johniegrad's question, and do you know if there is a legal list?
To: Miss Marple
Links and content forwarded to Fox news via e-mail. Probably not new to them however.
To: johniegrad
OK .. your posts got my attention
I'm still reading the beginning of it but why is part of this reminding me of Nancy's book, I love you Ronnie .. with BIG HUGE leftist lies in it?

If I were a CBS stock-holder, I would be very upset that they spent $9 million for a piece of rubbish like this. Just a look at the first draft should have put a halt to this stink bomb. Did the execs at CBS really believe this hit piece wouldn't cause a problem?
To: kcvl
They also claim that Nancy is listed as a communist sympathizer!!! There was a Nancy Davis that was on the list .. But it wasn't our Nancy .. it turned out to be another Nancy Davis

I don't know of any legal bump list. A defamation suit involving public figures based on a docu-drama would seem DOA to me. There is no actual assertion of fact, and what one needs to show are assertions of fact one knows are false, or perhaps made with a reckless disregard for the truth, and published maliciously. That is the standard set forth in the Sullivan SCOTUS case.

Patti wrestles the remote away from him. Micheal turns to Maureen, muttering:
Micheal: Jody Foster? He shot Dad in order to impress Jody Foster?
Ron: Wait till Dad hears he was shot by a deranged movie fan. He'll love it.
Maureen: That's not funny, Ron.
Patti: I think it's funny.
Doria: Maybe now he'll change his mind about gun control.
Maureen: Gun control? You think gun control would have stopped this guy?
Micheal: Oh great. Blame the victim.
Ron: Back off, you guys. Doria's right.
Michael: You guys ought toread the newspaper once in a while. Maybe then you'd wake up, and ditch this hippie crap.
As her family continues to argue, Patti buries her head in her hands.
Patti: What kind of family is this? Even a bullet can't bring us together.

So when do we get a TV movie scene with Hillary channeling Elanor Roosevelt?

Now that I've looked around a bit, it seems to me that I'm outraged simply because I've been out of circulation for awhile. A lot of people have looked at this already and there's another post even today about an internet site that was instrumental in bringing about the CBS decision. It's still unfortunte that it will be aired on Showtime however.
To: Bob
Well, HECK! I'll just have to convert it when I get my next days off. That'll be Tuesday. I can then post it here (If Jim doesn't mind).

Am downloading it now for review. Was this deemed as a documentary, fiction, or non-fiction. I guess that is the question.

Relax. Its Ronald Reagan as liberals see him. The character isn't the Ronnie beloved by the country.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I hope Showtime airs it...and get's put out of business because of millions of cancelled subscriptions.
...and the librats get an even worse defeat handed to them from millions of enraged voters.

"LEW:
The head of GE heard you give a speech at the plant in Tarrytown. He said you sounded like some kind of right-wing reactionary nut. Democrats buy GE products, too, so lay off the Commie thing."
This sounds like an unintended admission, to me.

Noticed Ollie North's name on page 4. I think the Lib's used this as a way to bash everyone they could.
