HOLY CRAP!!!
This essentially alleges that Ronald got Nancy pregnant at some point before they were married, and her mother arranged for her to get an abortion.

Somebody needs to paste the thing here before they get rid of it. I can't -I'm at work. Putting it up in pdf form pretty much guarntees that it can't just go away. It's 8 meg long, 213 pages though.
Based on my reading of the first scene, each scene may deserve its own thread.

can't paste this thing, it's a scanned copy of the actual typed script, images not text. It's a pdf. It is fascinating, though, to visit the minds of the writers.
For opening "establishing" shots they show homeless men with signs that say Reagan put me here, crazy people mumbling on sidewalks ( as a way of saying that Reagan emptied the nut houses, while it was the UCLU), childish crap like that.
This is a heavy handed smear, nothing subtle about it. Reagan swears and barks at people. Sheesh.
Must Read TV for freepers.

I can't get into the thing. I am on dial-up and waited for ten minutes before I gave up.
For those who can get in, I bet you can choose any random page and find something slimy on it.

[context: sometime during their courtship, immediately after Nancy threatens to move back to New York]
-----------------------
He grabs her arm, swings her around. He's angry.
REAGAN: You can't do this to me.
He starts kissing her, hard. Desperate. She pulls back, surprised. He pushes her against the sink, still kissing her. The tap water runs and runs.
INT. DAVIS LIVING ROOM - HOME - CHICAGO
Wealthy. Intellectual. Midwestern. Nancy sits in a chair, crying. Edie sits, opposite. They whisper:
EDIE: Well, one thing is clear -- you can't tell Ronnie. He's too religious, he'll never marry you.
NANCY: I can't tell him?
EDIE: But you'd better get him to marry you. And quick. you don't have any time to lose.
NANCY: I can't force him to marry me, Mother. For God's sake.
She sobs hysterically.
EDITH: Shh, keep it down, or Dr. Loyal will hear you --
Nancy can't stop crying. Edith pats her on the arm.
EDIE: (in a whisper, anxiously) Don't worry, honey. Don't worry, we'll get it fixed. I know somebody right here in Chicago, she can fix it. She's good. She never hurts anybody. But we can never tell Dr. Loyal, you hear? Never. Never.
Nancy stares at her mother, stricken.

Gee, it took a full eight pages before they brought up their "McCarthy" boogeyman.

"If anyone wants to download this to examine it..." I'll put it on my list right after I get through examining piles a manure, vomit and how to be gay manuals.
On second thought, there are some things in life I would rather not see. Reagan smeared is one of them.

I was going to cut and paste it but couldn't figure out how with Acrobat. It's on Page 23. I'll retype it here:

I'm reading a scene where evil smug Republicans with big cigars (!) are coercing RR to switch from Democrat to Republican party, and as a parrelel story they have Patty Reagan insisting that Nancy beats her. (pg 35-36)
This stuff is cowardly tripe.

That is just disgusting. I personally intend to make sure those writers, directors, producer, and actors involved in this thing never, ever get a dime of my money again.
To: Miss Marple
It's more than disgusting. It's probably illegal. If there is no source for the pregnancy/abortion angle, wouldn't it represent slander and libel? If I were Nancy, I'd get legal representation for this. I'm thinking the RNC might even have an interest in this.
To: johniegrad
I like your thinking. Perhaps CBS could be sued...and as a settlement we could ask that Roger Ailes be placed in charge of the new division.
To: Miss Marple; patent
I wonder if FR has a legal bump list or if anyone maintains a list of attorneys for pinging? I'd like to see if there are legal opinions out there concerning this?
To: All
RR is elected governor of CA with 55 of 58 counties. The scene, a college dorm, and a girl says "lookout everybody, Hitler has just been elected"
wow.
just wow.

Seems to me you can show malice with this whole effort. Viacom ought to be sued out of existence.
