Some Danish EU Site ^

Click Here. It is not in English, but it does not matter. Just choose any of those countries you want except of course US, Israel and India. Heck, you could vote for the EU itself.

"Kina": Most powerful, long-term threat to world peace. Possibly the next USSR.

Well, I guess Israel wins, and the Danes hardly have a history of anti-semitism, rather the opposite. I guess there must be some truth to it. Maybe Sharon halting settlements would help.

I've been wondering that for some time, with their economic power (thanks to us) and growing military might (thanks to Russia).

Bullsh/t. Why should Danes give a hoot about Israeli settlers? And how do you explain them chosing the U.S. as the #2 threat?

Perhaps not all of those who chose Israel are anti-Semitic (although I'd bet that many are), but the vast majority of them are typical anti-war-at-all-costs leftists. Israel and the U.S. are seen as the aggressors for one reason and one reason only: our military advantage over our Jihadist/Islamic adversaries. In the twisted minds of many Europeans, the militarily weaker side is always on the side of right.

BTTT I voted for Syria as I wasn't sure that Kina meant China. I truly believe China is the greatest future threat.

Well, I guess the US is in 2nd place, and the Danes hardly have a history of anti-Americanism. I guess there must be some truth to it, then. [::rolls eyes::]

It's easy to explain Danes choosing the U.S. as the #2 threat to world peace: our current war in Iraq. The Danes, along with the entire rest of the world, supported our toppling of the Taliban. But the invasion of Iraq is a mistake (and no, I'm not an avoid-war-at-all-costs leftist; I supported our policy in Afghanistan, too).

Danes are very sensitive to the suffering of others -- witness their heroics with helping Jews escape the Nazis in WWII, and their very high percentage of GNP donated to foreign aid (second highest in the world after Sweden). Their concern for Palestinians -- or anyone other group being oppressed by another group -- is natural and I don't agree with your attempts to pathologize it as anti-semitism.

And why cuss at me? We can disagree, but foul language simply isn't called for.
