They saw Mr. Babs acting and decided to fold.

It had nothing to do with the backlash. Just all them people who were boycotting their advertisers.
Do they have Yogi writing their press releases?

Then what was their reason?
"Our decision was based entirely on the films innacuracies rather than the controvesry surrounding it." *spin*

Now Hallmark Entertainment!!!! (they are distributing this abroad)

"Our decision was based entirely on the films innacuracies rather than the controvesry surrounding it." *spin* In that case, I'm sure CBS is grateful to us for calling the inaccuracies to their attention.
To: smith288
Sounds like pretty good spin. (Maybe you've got a career as a CBS apologist...:>)
"Yes, Dan, we were on top of those inaccuracies from the get go. In fact, Dan, it was CBS who started the outcry after BABs held us down and threatened to stuff her schnoz in our ear."
And that's the way it was....

Right... but it DID have to do with being a total piece of lies trashing a living President, even stooping to make up "quotes" and scenes.

Update: Newly hired CBS Spokesman Bagdad Bob released the following statement:
"The support for the show was overwhelming. The American people were writing and calling CBS and their sponsors about how excited they were to see the Reagan movie. CBS decided that Showtime would give the show more exposure due to such popular demand."

I give them credit. The realized they'd made a mistake, and they made a change to correct it. Good for them.

But the controversy was caused by the inaccuracies, so what's their point? It's like the Mariners saying, "We didn't bench Jeff Cirillo because of the fans' complaints, but because he was struggling."

They haven't pulled the show. They only moved it to Showtime.
The heat needs to be kept up on Viacom, and on CBS itself (it's advertizers are still vulnerable to pressure), until this turkey production hits the land fill.

They just couldn't win once the script was leaked.
That's great. I love seeing cornered jackasses with no where to hide.
They are going to be getting sh*t from the liberals over this decision for years!
A-ha!
