I don't think so. I can't imagine the left (other than Bill C.) being that creative. They can't stand the thought of loosing to us, so they wouldn't give in unless faced with loosing big advertisers like Hallmark. JMHO, but it is right! ;-)

An email I sent to CBS last week:

Dear Sirs, I have been reading that CBS is planning to air a made for TV movie about the Reagans. The information coming out about this piece suggests that President Reagan, his wife, and his family will be portrayed in a negative, if not a fraudulent, fashion.

I hope CBS will not pursue this effort to attempt to alter the historical record of this great man. Why has CBS chosen to pursue this vendetta on the eve of Reagan's passing? I believe this is blatant partisan politics.

If these allegations are true about the intended political posture that CBS is pursuing with "The Reagans" and this piece is aired, I will be forced to boycott all CBS broadcasting (including our favorite CSI). In addition, we will also find the list of sponsors for "The Reagans" and boycott those company products and services. We will also try to influence all our family and friends to boycott CBS and its sponsors as well.

If you think we are not serious, then think again. You will be putting at risk nearly 40% of the population by taking this dishonest course. Your CBS Evening News with Dan Rather is already bringing up the rear because of the clear liberal bias in his reporting. If CBS wants to pursue this self-destructive path, then be aware that there will be a downside.

I for one am a person who rarely writes letters like this. But, I love Ronald Reagan and what he stands for. I cannot stand by quietly while organizations like CBS plan to destroy his good name. Be warned that you will hear from me and millions of citizens with the same opinion. And, this will hurt you in the wallet.
Sincerely,

Postscript: It takes alot to get me mad enough to write such a letter. But, I'm sure these small efforts to support Ronald Reagen taken together became a tidal wave that overwhelmed CBS.

Now on to Showtime....

For those of us who are Second Amendment supporters, it would also be good to remember that Hallmark contributed $20,000 in the spring of 1999 to help defeat Proposition B, Missouri's Right To Carry ballot referendum. The money helped buy media airtime in the closing days of the campaign that was full of fear-mongering and downright untruths. The media blitz in Kansas City and St. Louis tipped the scales against us, along with the huge voter fraud in St. Louis.

Since Hallmark is a privately held company, there are no public stockholders who can apply pressure to them to get them to lighten up. Missouri conservatives who value freedom have been unhappy with Hallmark and have been boycotting them for almost five years now because of their ill-advised donation. Maybe with this national attention, the boycott can be much more effective now.

It's becoming more obvious that Hallmark is not the friend of conservatives who value freedom.

I watched Jeremiah when it first came out. I agree it was good. However I'll just wait till it's either on Sci-Fi or DVD.

"O'Reilly will throw out his shoulder patting himself on the back because of this."

Fine, and good for him.

We should ALL pat ourselves on the back for this, AND we should contact CBS - if this Drudgereport turns out to be true - and thank them politely for their considerate actions, for doing the right thing.

They filmed 15 episodes of Jeremiah for the second season. After Friday, 7 of them will have been shown. The remaining 8 will be called the third season and shown at an undetermined future time.

I was wondering about that. I don't think they left enough space really to grow the series. They focused too much on Valhalla Sector if you ask me. To try to introduce a new line in the second season seemed a little contrived

Wonderful news.

I can just see it - those nasty conservatives -"the Right Wing" - forces censorship on CBS.

The hatred for President Reagan is visceral among many in academia. But they know they cannot argue on issues so they smear him for his supposed mental failures. They are disgustingly evil. After all, it was under his superb watch that the evil empire fell.

No the Death Star has not been killed.

CBS has said that it will not comment on the Drudge or NYTimes reports.
