A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

BILLINGS, Mont. -- Yellowstone National Park happens to be on top of one of the largest "super volcanoes" in the world. Geologists claim the Yellowstone Park area has been on a regular eruption cycle of 600,000 years. The last eruption was 640,000 years ago making the next one long overdue. This next eruption could be 2,500 times the size of the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption. Volcanologists have been tracking the movement of magma under the park and have calculated that, in parts of Yellowstone, the ground has risen over seventy centimeters this century.
 
In July, 2003, Yellowstone Park rangers closed the entire Norris Geyser Basin because of deformation of the land and excessive high ground temperatures. There is an area that is 28 miles long by 7 miles wide that has bulged upward over five inches since 1996, and this year the ground temperature on that bulge has reached over 200 degrees (measured one inch below ground level).
 
There was no choice but to close off the entire area. Everything in this area is dying: The trees, flowers, grass and shrubs. A dead zone is developing and spreading outward. The animals are literally migrating out of the park.
 
Then during the last part of July one of the Park geologists discovered a huge bulge at the bottom of Yellowstone Lake. The bulge has already risen over 100 feet from the bottom of the lake and the water temperature at the surface of the bulge has reached 88 degrees and is still rising.
 
Keep in mind that Yellowstone Lake is a high mountain lake with very cold water temperatures. The Lake is now closed to the public. It is filled with dead fish floating everywhere. The same is true of the Yellowstone river and most of the other streams in the Park. Dead and dying fish are filling the water everywhere.
 
Many of the picnic areas in the Park have been closed and people visiting the Park usually stay but a few hours before leaving since the stench of sulfur is so strong they literally can't stand the smell.
 
The irony of all this is the silence by the news media and our government. Very little information is available from Yellowstone personnel or publications. What mainstream newsstories do appear underscore the likelihood of a massive volcanic eruption. Though geologists publicly admit Yellowstone is "overdue," they have been quoted as stating another massive magma release may not occur for 100,000 or 2 million years. Others close to the story are convinced that a massive eruption is imminent. A source that has demonstrated first-hand knowledge of the park's history and recent geothermal events stated the following: "The American people are not being told that the explosion of this 'super volcano' could happen at any moment. When Yellowstone does blow, some geologists predict that every living thing within six hundred miles is likely to die. The movement of magma has been detected just three-tenths of a mile below the bulging surface of the ground in Yellowstone raising concerns that this super volcano may erupt soon."

We all know about the Valdez, Alaska port shutdown, because of terrorist concern.

What if you had a lone "nut" freak out and attack the air marshall to distract him, while the accomplices used the diversion to "neutralize" the air marshall while he was distracted? If the air marshall is busy trying to control the unruly passenger, it might be easy to get the drop on him.

More to the point, Air Marshalls travel "undercover". Staging an "ordinary" disturbance which would get the Air Marshall involved would allow the terrorists to identify the Air Marshall so that they could then neutralize him unexpectedly later in the flight (or as you point out, while he's distracted by the original disturbance and focusing on that).

What's with the BA flights? Anyone wants to venture a guess? I don't quite understand why can't they operate these flights, after screening the passengers and the luggage. They could replace even the flight crew, or change the plane... I lost track how many flights have been canceled and searched by now, and they are considering canceling the next one.

What kind of "fact related intel" would cause them to behave this way???

British Airways security officials are deciding whether to operate the next flight to Washington after cancelling Thursday's service because of fears over security.

Flight BA 223 from Heathrow to Washington, which normally leaves London at 3.05pm, was cancelled several hours before it was scheduled to depart after BA received "security advice" from the Government.

And on New Year's Eve, the same flight had been kept on the runway for three hours after landing at Washington Dulles International Airport to allow security officials to board the plane and question passengers.

The Boeing 747 was escorted into Dulles by two F-16 fighter jets.

A BA spokesman said the airline was still hoping to operate this afternoon's flight to Washington.

However, he said that in light of the events of the past two days, the security situation surrounding flight BA 223 was being closely monitored.

A decision on whether to operate the service today would be made by the airline's security officials, he added.

On Thursday night it emerged that US authorities were acting on intelligence information - and not just suspicious passenger names - when they boarded the BA jet on New Year's Eve. However, no evidence of terrorism was found.

"We had concerns with individuals on the flight, but threat reporting information led us to make the decision to have the flight escorted," a national security official said.

"It was fact-related," the official said, and not just connected to the passenger list the US now receives from airlines flying to the US.

I am aware that they had masters degrees etc. I haven't read this whole thread, but there was a post about a yahoogroup with threatening msgs last week....I wrote the guy making the scary posts. I told him that the Arab World had peaked with ancient Egypt. He did reply, saying no one knows why ancient Egypt disappeared. Reliable and serious. My guess: the terrorists are waiting and trying to find the "leak" in their system. As soon as our side tires of the cancellations and seraches, they'll strike. I think the threats are deadly serious and that we may never learn how many plots have been foiled.

I am just wondering about why those flights?

If they don't find anyone on board, could it be that some AQ are hiding somewhere with a missile to shoot it down upon take-off? Or are they going to try to hide a nuke onboard? There are way too many scary possibilities -- and as you said, it must be something very serious, or they wouldn't keep canceling the flights, like this.

After listening to a couple nights of the intercepts into Los Angeles, I wondered if perhaps they positioned an F-16 on each side of the 747s in case a ground launch was detected from a shoulder fired missle. This way the F-16s could release their flares to try to divert the downing of all those passengers.

I was basing this perhaps on the theory that the flight numbers had been intercepted in emails, but no other information was available, and they might be hypothesizing that these planes were targets, and not weapons.

I have no idea what is going on down in Mexico. The LA news reported three straight flights were cancelled....I personally think they didnt have the armed agents available for them. If the world's airlines don't want to play ball, they can land at Tijuana Int'l or Vancouver BC and transfer to airlines that do.

It certainly could be. I think someone tracked his ISP to Dubai. There are a number of possibilities from a wannabe, to someone assigned to deliberately spread disinfo, to having some of what he says be grounded in reality (theirs) ...etc.
