So calling someone 'father' is verboten while the diminutive forms of 'dad' and 'pops' are okay. An interesting idea for someone chained to scruple and legalisms, perhaps.

[Matt.5 [20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.]

Diminutive forms are what we are since we are made in his image. Thereby, such are actually terms of endearment rather than demands of a false God to submit to its claim of authority despite acting contrary to scripture.

Such legalisms means you are enchained and oppressed by the sin of scruple.

You have a poor excuse for everything.

You don't think the Pope has access to the best scientists, doctors, theologians and other professionals in the world.

It is a sin, vice, dangerous and so on.

You need to cut your association with it and get right with yourself again.

There is no honor in it.
Makes you come off like a flakey cult member.
Can lead the innocent to the end of their lives.

Seems to have more in common with the Satanic instead of Chistianity ot even every day society.

"Scruple" is not a word in the Bible.

You oppose my quoting of the word as legalisms yet support
the bastardization of the commerce clause in order to
justify an unconstitutional war upon the people?

Romans 9:32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone;

"[Matt.5 [20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.]"

I am not the one attempting to use the law to persecute the righteous.

Regardless, the church had set new rules which
are against the word and in enforcing them
sacrificed compassion to the ill of health.

As regards my own potential onset of diabetes,
I believe refined sugars (the cocaine of the massive
masses) is a far greater threat to my health than an herb.

Thank you for your concern.

"Marijuana was also indigenous and even widely used by this nation's founders before the FDA."

That's not what was said. patriciaruth said marijuana was never part of our culture, which is correct.

In the 60's, marijuana use became part of the sub-culture and was never accepted into mainstream America. Still isn't.

... they can't even keep drugs out of prisons.

I guess by that logic since there is rape in prison we should legalize that, too.

Stupid analogy---every prisoner takes with him into prison everything he needs to commit rape.

Advocating responsible and moral behavior is my position.

I advocate that as well---what I oppose is using government coercion to achieve it.

You're not against coercion. You would have no qualms about using the power and force of human laws in order to discourage those who would thwart recreational drug sales.

Provide evidence for your claim.

The FDA is not GOD!

Careful, brother - you're offending the religious sensibilities of all those who worship the STATE.

How many are they?

There numbers are legion, unfortunately. ;^)

Neither of those drugs [alcohol and tobacco] would even be considered for approval if they were submitted for review today.

So what?

And finally it and other drugs destroy society by decreasing the number of people who remain responsible enough to continue to support the success of that society in maintaining itself.

a.) Do you support reinstating alcohol prohibition?

b.)Do you feel that the conservative view is to protect individual rights or societal rights?

Marijuana may have never been a "central" part of our culture, but it was widely used by people at the time of the founding of this country. I suppose people like you would rather that the framers had been no-knocked and jailed, especially considering how much respect you pay to the documents that they wrote, re: personal liberty and sovreignty, limited government, states rights, freedom from unreasonable search and seizure, innocent until proven guilty, right to face your accusers, etc.

You're confusing, deliberately I'm sure, marijuana with hemp.

Hemp was widely used, not marijuana.
