No. Considering the risk of a car bomb, I would think the SS is not pleased to have had a car ram the building the President was speaking in.

Was it an SUV?

Great reporting
I saw the video and it seems like she put up a fight when they were arresting her
Let me guess, she is a member of Moveon.org??

How the heck did this wench get where she got?
To: mewzilla
I have no idea .. but with two small kids in the back screaming for mommy to stop
My guess is the SS/Swat wouldn't shoot unless absolutely necessary
Their #1 priority is the President and if he was in her path, this could have ended a lot worse then it did

Yes, mewzilla, there was another recent incident such as this one. I am not very happy with the SS lately, that's for sure. If something happens to President Bush due to the SS not doing their job, this country will go into a tailspin and we will have lost a very wonderful leader. Vigilance must be increased.

A witness, Linda Neeley, 40, a teacher from Horn Lake, Miss., said the woman was white, 35-40 years old, with blonde hair. Was she wearing a lettuce bikini?
To: GWB00
The car rammed through a police checkpoint
Obviously it was not a very good checkpoint.

You can bet a terrorist will be thinking that to get to the prez he should just surround himself with kids.
To: GWB00
How sad. She was such a pistol on the Schiavo threads.
To: Wait4Truth
You are right. From what I read it was airport employees who finally stopped the car while the FBI was trying to flag the car down.
To: GWB00
Isn't this the second time something like this has happened? Didn't a woman crash through a tarmac gate at the air port and drive her car towards Air Force One?
What ever happened with that?

IMO .. they do nothing but help the terrorists

Sat Nov 1,12:30 PM ET Police officers secure the area during a security scare outside of the arena where President Bush was speaking in Southaven, Miss., Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003. A car penetrated the security perimeter around the DeSoto Civic Center where President Bush was speaking Saturday and rammed the building. Fewer than five minutes after the car crashed at a slow speed into a loading dock area at the arena, Bush's motorcade left for his next stop, in Paducah, Ky. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak)

I agree with you too, but for some reason it seems to be in vogue here at FreeRepublic to make fun of people who are concerned about such things.
To: GWB00
The constant bashing and hatred being spewed from the mouths of liberal media and the democrats et al is stirring up the nuts. I fear for the President's safety.

yup, according to a witness:
"They got her out of the car and put the handcuffs on, and she was fighting them," Neeley said. "The police officer was lying on top of her."
