Have you considered the fact that that may be their goal? I would think many in the Dem Party and in the media would applaud behind the scenes if Bush were assassinated.

Yes. The media folks and the "sensible" Democrats must understand that there is more at stake than the political game. But IMO many of them are just raving political lunatics. They could care less if the entire ship of state sank as long as they had their chance at the helm, even if only to ride her to the bottom.
