TERRI'S FIGHT
(Daily Thread 2 - November 1-2, 2003)
Link back to thread 2 - October 30-31)
.
Contained in thread 2:
.
Contact information for the ACLJ, link for Chris Ferrara's legal brief, Senate Amendment to Terri's Bill, Ken Connor of the Family Research Council joins fight for Terri's Law, contact information for law enforcement and Judge Demers, Republic's impassioned letter to Judge Demers, Schiavo's claim that Terri's surgery was a success, link to CBN interview with the Schindlers (Oct 31), state's medical directors come out against Terri's Law, more links to testimony and legal debate, short bio on Judge Demers, update from the vigil and a doctor's exam report on Terri from 1990. Wacky Sam has also graciously offered to provide server space for documents to be kept to prevent their loss form other sources.
There is also a lot of discussion and links dealing with the seeming network of connnections between the girlfriend, Jodi, various insurance business links and possibly Terri's new doctor. In addition, several questions are addressed regarding Michael Schiavo's hiding of assets and tricks that may have been employed to throw off investigative efforts. Some of the FReepers have been doing their homework on the unholy alliances in the case. Let's keep working to connect the dots and expose the results. Also contained in thread 2 is some of Schiavo's litigious history, a bit more information on George Felos and more on Jay Wolfson. Some information on the doctors involved in Terri's case can be found on this thread as well. Since there are so many posts and links to the above mentioned topics, the best thing to do is to browse the thread.

This thread serves as a place for posting all new general information and references, along with links following Terri's case, plus information on cable news and talk radio shows dealing with the issue, court cases and press releases. This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.
If you have something that qualifies as BREAKING NEWS or FRONT PAGE NEWS, please post it on a separate thread in that category in order to give it maximum exposure and then post a link to the article/thread here so that it will be included in the next update of links. Also, if you post links to articles from original sources and there is also a thread on FR, please link to the FR thread. Many original links become corrupt over time and we want to be able to access the information at will.
Thanks again to everyone for all your hard work.

Probably is. I have a premium account at fotki. They don't allow linking with a free account. It is only $30 a year ($49 for 2 years) and is well worth it.

Per the PDF doc.
"Ms. Schiavo was re-administered the sensory stimulation measure on March 13th, 1991." It goes on to say that she had IMPROVED in a few response areas. These were her eye-opening and metroresponses and tacticle (reponse to her being touched with differant textures of things) being the best.
In my opinion these results cry out for more and more of this type of therapy. IE tactical stimulation visual stimulation.
I have cared for many severly neurologically imparied children. These types of tests were done on a regular MANDANTORY basis. One child we had was anti-tactical stimulation and we had to fight the state about not sending her to school because she would come home screaming and having constant seziures. They finally relented and we did as much range of motion and stimulation as she would tolerate at home. I cannot belive that no one (state agency here) has questioned this patients RIGHT to even basic physical therapy.

Just to clarify, can we link to it, or should it be moved to our own web space??
Thanks.

"he should have his feeding tube removed, too" He probably doesn't need food. I mean, he's already had his heart removed and that didn't seem to phase him.

"Just to clarify, can we link to it, or should it be moved to our own web space?"
I'm not really sure. This is a free image server that sweetliberty says doesn't allow linking to it. Looks like sl put it on her account; also pc93 may use it on his site. Perhaps sweetliberty or pc93 would allow linking from their sites? Or you're welcome to put it on your own server if you want to.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm relinquishing all rights to it LOL; do with it what you will.

You are certainly welcome to link it to mine. I believe that can be done. The safest way may be to save it to your own hard drive and put it wherever you want it.

Some new insights into the case and relationship
today's Philadelphia Inquirer online "Scott Schiavo disputes the Schindlers' claims that Terri and Michael were having problems.
"But, he said, the couple had been arguing all day on Feb. 25, 1990. Terri collapsed that night."
Also tells more about her sweet disposition and that they were married November 1984 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton.
If somebody wants to repost as a new thread, be my guest.

Here is a poll from the McLaughlin Group.
Go to yahoo and type in McLaughlin Group. Then punch "survey" when the home page come up. Right now the vote is 58-42 against Terri, the same vote against Judge Bork in 1987.
Six days after Terri Schiavo's feeding tube was removed by court order the Florida legislature intervened and had the tube reinserted.
Should Terri Schiavo been placed back on life support?
Yes
No
Your Age Range: 14-17 18-34 35-49 50-64 65+ Please Select an Age Range

44% for the tube being placed back into Terri
56% against the tube being reinserted.
We need to change this.
