Neither NBC, ABC or PBS would even dare to consider to portray Mohammed and Islam this way. It would cause a firestorm that would explode.

McBrien depicts Christ as if he did not always know who he was. Taking his cue from certain biblical scholars, he attributes both ignorance and error to Christ: "Did Jesus, finally, know himself to be the unique Son of God? It is true that Jesus spoke of God as his Father in such a way as to suggest a special, intimate relationship. But there is no incontrovertible proof that he claimed a unique sonship not open to other persons" (p. 551). McBrien even supports the case that Christ could have sinned (p. 547).

This priest who Vargas relies up on wrote the above. Mc Brien is a heretic.

It would explode inside their HQs.

What way? What is so offensive about the claim that a 40ish 1st Century Jewish man was married?

Before long there will be claims that Jesus was gay, now that he was black and married.

Any church that doesn't prepare its concregation for persecution probably won't be around in two years. When the persecution in Russia hit in 191, the average church fell from 300 to 15 members. That's a 95% falling away.

Rev. Richard McBrien of Notre Dame is probably the arch-heretic in the U.S. today. He never misses an opportunity to spread dissent and heresy through his connections in the liberal media. When he stands before the throne at the Last Judgment he will have a lot to answer for. It's one thing to sin personally; it's another to have the priestly office and to use it to lead thousands of others astray.

Better to tie a millstone around your neck and jump into the sea, is what the Bible says of such behavior.

Stupid people ask questions, and never seem to consider the primary source for their information.

Remember that movie a while back (70's) where they would not show Muhammed's face? Probably becase he was so freaking ugly and that mark of Cain likely did not add to his countenance.

A wife while here on earth??..... Don't think so...
I do believe our Lord Jesus remains engaged to the love if His life
(His saved ones.... His church... [little "c"])

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. -- Revelation 21:9-10

Given the waves of blatant persecutions and ludicrous heresies of our culture and our time... hmmm...
The wedding day may be closer than we think....

Blessings

I think there is some truth to the rumor that George Washington really had white, curly hair. All I need now is to find some egotistical historian who will make the claim in the proper manner and dig up some indisputable new "evidence".

The book asserts that Mary Magdalene was Jesus' wife -- not a prostitute, as in some teachings -- and that she fled Jerusalem with his child after his crucifixion.

There is nothing in scripture that says that Mary Magdalene was a prostitute.

She did follow Jesus along with several other women of whom we have three called by name, Mary Magdalene, Joanna the wife of Chuza and Susanna.

Jesus did cast seven demons out of her. That would have been after the start of His ministry making it highly unlikely that they were married before then, (would you marry a woman with seven devils in her?) and it is unlikely that they would have been married afterwards as those are the most heavily covered years of his life and it would have been mentioned.

Therefore, using the only records we have the conclusion must be that ABC is to put it kindly, very mistaken.

The ABC special speaks to several theologians who either discount the story or assert that it is possible. Vargas said ABC found no proof that Jesus had a wife, but couldn't completely discount it, either.

Vargas is really an alien mind-eater from the planet Nuttkase. It can't be proven, but it can't be completely discounted either. (sarc)

Actually, I do not think Jesus had time to get married. He was truly a busy man on a great and everlasting mission. He just had no time for romancing or marrying. I cannot fathom Him wanting to settle down when He had so much to do in so little time on Earth.

Anyway, Mohammed did have time to gather 7 wives while only permitting his followers 4.

But, whatever, ABC, CBS executives think they are such big shots, (that is until they really meet the really Big Guy face to face in another realm), in plotting their devious little hit pieces on Christian traditions and beliefs and a great President, but I still have the zapper (TV monitor) to zap their foolish programs and stupid advertisers and products from my home.

Elizabeth Vargas is, and always has been, a true lightweight (she couldn't even read without muffing it). I went so far as to call GMA about her, then never watched again as they lifted her profile and canned other more competent "journalists".

Stephie's ratings on Sunday are sinking faster than the Titanic. ABC and CBS' bad choices finally are coming back to haunt them.

Long live FOX NEWS!
