A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Thanks, Mixer!
1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar. 2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up. 3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit. 4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it. 5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

Good morning everyone. I'm tired already. My kitty woke me up at 5:30. I've got the floors all mopped and laundry done. Time to go back to bed. :)

'morning Nicmarlo, so nice to have you back with us. We were quite concerned when you suddenly disappeared. You know, we worry when one of our own goes missing.
Great to have you back again. ((((((nicmarlo))))))

Good morning SB. I was up at 3:50. That's not one-upmanship, it's whining on my part.

ty, mama_bear......it had become very difficult for me to get online for very long at a time....so I just quit trying to do so, out of frustration......we have cable now, so that has resolved a big part of the problem. Sorry to have worried anyone (I was thinking I would....duh).

ty, mama_bear......it had become very difficult for me to get online for very long at a time....so I just quit trying to do so, out of frustration. I can understand that. But, isn't a fast connection wonderful? I have dsl and took it for granted until I recently spent a week at my cousin's ranch. She has a dial-up. My gosh, it was SO slow! I can understand why people with dial-up connections ask to be removed from the ping lists of threads that are graphic intense. Sheesh! I thought the Finest thread would never load.

The difference between dial-up and cable is just amazing, whether having pages load or staying connected or even getting online.....what a difference.

Not to mention the fact that the telephone line is now free 24/7....that was a huge part of the problem, too, for me.

Not to mention the fact that the telephone line is now free 24/7....that was a huge part of the problem, too, for me. Yep. And I found there wasn't much of a price difference either, at least not the first year. I was able to give up my isp, plus my dedicated phone line....that about equaled the cost of DSL. Of course, after the year was up, the price went up.....big surprise. LOL.
Still, it is worth it, considering the amount of time that I am on line. It would be pure torture to go back to a dial-up again.
I'm going back to bed. It's still pitch dark out here on the left coast. TTYL :-)

[John] came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. John 1:7
You can attract people to Christ when you have His light in your life.

Still shuddering from Freezie's ghoulish presentation of our Worst Nightmares! The Democratic lineup gets worse with every passing year.
The problem for Freezie was so many possible subjects - so little space!
Starting the weekend with a brief shopping foray, and will return later today.
Happy November, everyone!
