I'm not saying Wayne Fontes was a great coach...I'm saying Wayne Fontes was a great Lions coach....

LOL, ok, if you say so. I guess if you're a Lions coach, and you win a few games, you're a great coach. I hardly remember Monte Clark. He was like the Gerald Ford of football. Nobody remembers him, because he didn't do anything too good, but didn't do anything too bad either. That was the Another One Bites the Dust Year? If so, ok. He stunk too.

I have heard Tom Jackson and every other cowed sports reporter, usually from the east coast, explain away McNabb's poor performance because of; his hurt thumb, his poor recievers, coaches play calling, etc.

Consider this, two weeks ago, McNabb had only 64 (sixty four, 6 - 4) passing yards for the whole game.

And an osky to boot.

Steve McNair broke a finger and plays with some awful recievers and he's tearing up the league. However, east coast sports writers hate to go to watch a game in backwoods TN.

Quincy Carter is not a good QB but he's perfect compared to McNabb

His playbook was high school.

Yes it was! They had only a couple of plays, #1) Hand off to Barry Sanders and hope he can get a block from Lomas Brown, #2) Throw it up in the air and let Hermann Moore out leap the defenders.

And Quincy is not the highest paid player in the league, like Donovan.

I was thinking more like,"Hand off to Barry, all fall down in a pile, and hope he can find a way out of this mess".... I just know, if Sanders had "Parting of the Red Sea" holes to run through like Emmitt Smith had, he would have gone 3000. Once he got into the backfield, they couldn't touch him. The problem was, no help getting to the backfield.

Hermann Moore, hah. He was Jerry Rice for a few years, wasn't he? Just throw the ball out there in his vicinity, he'll catch it. Too bad his body didn't hold up, and too bad he had to suffer through useless burnout Bobby Ross, who didn't like his face. Ross was even worse than Fontes.

Remember that Barry usually played in a one-back set and did not have a fullback blocking to get him an extra step in the defensive backfield. Thats how good he was.

The curse of the great Rushbino!!! Eagles will never see superbowl until they kill a goat or level their stadium.

Sorry, my assumption was that Rush liked his Sunday job and wanted to keep it. I said race played into the whole thing. NFL's and tv stations do not want to be associated with the things Rush has to say. Before Rush's show, myy radio station says that the opinions on this show are the hosts and the callers - in other words the radio station wants to make sure that folks listening know that the station is not responsible for the content. When Rush was on a show, speaking for a product(NFL), then you have to be careful what you say. Most listening might have agreed with him, but we have certain appearances we must keep up in public.

We both know there is a double standard in these things, Rush knows it too. On his show, he can say what he wants. When he is working for someone else, he has to do things the way they want you to. Sorry to be so 'ridiculous'.

Donovan looked good today. The Eagles are starting to pull it together...hopefully they'll be firing on all cylinders come January.
