[history]
I read and hear about the family of Terri Schiavo struggling to allow her to keep on living, and I can only join my faith and hope with theirs in this quest.
Her parents are sure that she is not in the comatose vegetative state that some would want us to believe she is in. They believe this on the basis of what they see and live every time they are with her.

I will continue to pray for Terri and her family. And pray that her husband will gracefully bow out of the situation.

"And pray that her husband will gracefully bow out of the situation." Michael Schiavo has about as much grace as a club-footed cow, but at least if that happened we would know it was the grace of God and no doing of Michael's. What is impossible for men is possible with God. Thank you for your prayers of support for Terri and her family and for Michael's heart to be changed.

I read on a previous post that there was never a criminal investigation to determine if Michael's account was accurate. Is this true and if so, why not?
According to transcript from LKL when Michael and his attorney was on, Michael came home that night @ 2am then for some reason got up at 4:30am, heard a thud and found Terri laying in the hallway. Michael and attorney also claimed there was no life insurance for Terri.
I think the parents believe Michael had some hand in what happened to Terri and he will not allow them to visit much in fear Terri might of somehow been able to communicate he did.
Regardless, prayers to Terri and her family. I hope the truth comes out someday.

Her husband is a different story altogether, which for some reason most of the media seems to ignore. Why not divorce? Why is her husband isolating her by keeping her family away? What about the inheritance after her death if there is no divorce? Why not let her parents take care of her since he has obviously already made for himself another life which in no way includes her? Are there ulterior motives in his decisions? Good questions, all of them.

Michael's live in girlfriend (yes he is still married to Terri) runs and insurance company from her home.
Michael mentioned on Larry King Live there was no insurance policy on Terri (but no one asked that question of him). How hard would it be for Judy (his girlfriend) to have a policy on Terri and keep it hidden?
Michael wasn't prosecuted because no on had suspicions that he had tried to kill her, and during her stay in the Hospice (where it appears he was giving her insulin injections during his visits to try and kill her) he was intimidating the nurses into keeping quiet, and had the cooperation of the management in doing so.
FELOS the lawyer was running the hospice, and Judge Greer has possible ties to the board of directors of the Hospice. FELOS is a RIGHT TO KILL lawyer and writes books about it, just check it out for yourself!
The nurses who worked with TERRI have lately made out sworn statements about Michael, and the fact that TERRI could TALK, and is not brain dead at all (or at least wasn't then.)
We will see what happens.

Oh there is definitely that chance, and there has been much discussion about it here. It seems that due to the suspicious nature of Terri's injuries when she was taken to the ER an investigation was suggested by ER personnel. My understanding is that when questioned at that time if the Schindlers had any reason to suspect foul play, that they said "no." Of course, at that time they didn't. It wasn't until testimony some time later that they discovered that Terri's brother Bobby had known that Michael was abusing Terri and was protecting, I presume, her parents from that knowledge. They had no way of knowing what a scoundrel Michael would turn out to be.
I'm not sure how many of the threads you have read, but there is a great deal of information. I would suggest that you look at the following ones:

Thanks for your kind responses, and special thanks for the links, sweetliberty. The links answered many of my questions, and validates my feelings that Michael is evil.
Got room for me on your ping list? Thanks again

"When an incapacitated individual dies simply because he was denied food and drink (no matter what way this food and drink was being administered), a crime is being committed."
Good post. I'm perplexed that the outrage exhibited by the general population regarding the four starving boys in New Jersey does not translate to the same outrage at the attempt to starve Terri. The only difference I see is the participation of the legal and medical community in the starvation.

Thanks for the heads up!

I have added you to my ping list, which means that the links will turn up on your "my comments" page when your attention is called to an article or individual post. It simply means that your name is added to the posters to whom a post is addresed in the "to" field.
For more important FReep info, see my post here from earlier this evening.

"Why do they keep saying food and water is medicine...??????"
Medicine or medical treatment are 'Schiavo/Felos/Culture of Death-speak' for food and water that are necessary for the life of any organism. They have successfully conditioned the media to regard and report feeding by 'g' tube as medical treatment because the sustaining nutrients are not administered by mouth. Nevermind that they won't permit food and water to be given by mouth!
