They are about to show a video of Saddam Hussein's torture that I happened to see earlier this evening as I was walking past the TV. The TV was muted so I had no idea what I was watching but it is VERY disturbing.

Normally, I can't stomach Colmes, but the weenie filling in for him is even worse - changed channels a long time ago.

I saw the edited tape earlier today in a report from Brett Bair. Even the edited tape turns your stomach.

I missed it, what exactly was shown? Mail me if it's too graphic to describe here, I'm just interested in what I missed.

They showed longer segments of the tape on Brit Hume's show tonight. More beatings and other atrocities and I averted my eyes from at the last instant.
This showing did have a couple things that Brit's didn't have though, I think.

Will the Democrats now demand that the torturers be reinstalled?
To: Akira
Amputations of tongues, fingers, beheadings, beatings, throwing people off buildings. All caught on tape for posterity and performed in front of Iraqi men and boy civilians for intimidation purposes. Effective too, I'll tell 'ya.

I saw that film earlier this evening on Fox news, and I'll bet that no other network shows it. I've never seen such evil in my life.
Every news outlet in the world should air the entire tape, but they won't, because that alone would justify taking out the regime of Saddam Hussein.

Is it me or are they slowly changing the format on H&c.
More sensational stuff and less politics. Larry King has been beating them lately. I have been changing channels during the show to see if theres something better.

I think I just heard Greta say something about it too on her show. Ugh!

Where this needs to be aired, aside from every network on TV...is in IRAQ, to the Iraqi people, to astound those there who knew of, but never actually saw, what this MONSTER was capable of...they lived in fear, now we need to help them live in hope and help us rout out the scum.

I'm glad the administration got smart and released these video clips after the multitude of bombings and deaths in Baghdad this past week.
Might wake up some of the brain-dead who think we shouldn't have gone into Iraq at all.
As far as I'm concerned, I hope the videos will now be released drip, drip, drip, right up to election eve.
I understand there's many more torture videos, including those from the private collections of Saddam's two psycho sons.

Ugh, thanks, I get the picture. That being said, it should be mandatory viewing, especially for anybody who asks why we're in Iraq. People are really starting to lose perspective.
It should also be shown on primetime French television, but I realize they'd just find some way to claim Bush was throwing the people off the roof.

Saw a guy on a Frontline show who was torutred in Uncle Saddam's prisons...he had a length of rubber tube inserted in his rectum and *yanked* out while being suspended from his arms. Needless to say, he informed the viewer he can't go to the bathroom "normally".
I bring this up in arguments with smart ass liberals. They don't like hearing about it too much, no surprise, as they are on the side of evil dictators usually.

Sean's a nice, clean-cut guy, but he's in over his head; he should concentrate on delivering speeches at his local Knights of Columbus communion breakfasts.

I don't usually watch it because Colmes makes me nuts but I wanted to see Sean's Zell Miller interview. As I was waiting for that I heard them promo the upcoming videos.
