Dear Republican, Over the last few months, Laura and I have traveled the country and have been humbled by the enthusiastic support we have been given. Our country has faced many challenges in the last two and half years and we are meeting these challenges at home and abroad. We're defeating the enemies of freedom. And at the same time, we're confronting challenges to build prosperity for our nation and a more compassionate society. Every test has revealed the true character of America. And no one in the world can doubt the spirit and will and strength of the American people. We are meeting the challenges of our time but there is much more to be done and I need your support. Will you join me in these efforts by volunteering for my re-election campaign as a Bush Team Leader? http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/ As a Bush Team Leader you will be asked to help by volunteering at local events, hosting your own events, registering new voters, turning out voters on Election Day and more. Most importantly, you will be asked to recruit more Bush Team Leaders to help us win in November 2004. Please sign up to be a part of this important effort today. http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/ The challenges we face cannot be met with timid actions or bitter words. They will be overcome with optimism and resolve and confidence in the ideals of America. We are acting to advance human freedom and liberty and making the world and America more secure. We took action to create jobs and get the economy growing again. We acted on principle. You did not send me to this office to mark time. You sent me here to restore dignity and honor to the White House and to help build a safe and prosperous and caring nation. Will you join me in this effort by becoming a Bush Team Leader and volunteer your time? http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/SignUp/ I want to thank you for the work that you will do in the months to come. There is no question in my mind that with your help we are laying the foundation to win a great victory in November of 2004.
P.S. Again, thank you for making my campaign strong at the grassroots level all across the country. I am grateful to the over 300,000 Americans that have contributed to my campaign and the millions more who've signed up on the campaign email list. And I am grateful to everyone that chooses to volunteer in support of this effort. I need you to make certain your friends and family register to vote. I need you to make phone calls, send emails, help organize rallies, put up signs, and get out the vote. I need you to volunteer in my campaign today. |
New year, same crap. If the "base" was so damn strong, we would get very conservative people winning every primary. We do not because most of this "base" showed up in the late 70's and early 80's. That is about the time they kicked drugs, got jobs, found God, and started to vote. Every year we hear the whine about why they will not vote this time. OK fine, shut up and move over.
Those of us who spend every election fighting in the trenches to move the country to the right, get sick of the same BS by those who "found" themselves and became conservative!
Republican since I was 16. Conservative as hell. No time for twits!!! I will work for and vote for this President ..... while I continue to bitch about what I don't like. No one else on the national scene is as good as what we have.
A big AMEN to that!
You are my kind of guy.
Yup. Lies, bigger government, bigger budget, bigger defecit, more entitlements, and above all, much much more constitutional violations. Just the same ol' BS.
Those of us who spend every election fighting in the trenches to move the country to the right
That's hilarious. Under your watch government has moved to the left. Great job! LOL
Look, I know it has taken a long time to get in the mess we're in, and it'll take a long time to get out. I'm not asking for everything at once. All I ask is to stop moving in the wrong direction. And that isn't happening, not by a longshot.
Dude, get over it, that issue is so dead on arrival in the House.
Yo, MJY, where can one find the afore-mentioned bumper sticker?
It's D-E-A-D. Even if a couple moderate Republicans in the northeast deserted in the House there are a few dozen Democrats who would be scared *less to vote against guns right before the election, or ever.
He's da bomb -- one of my Fab Four, with Talent, Allard, and Santorum.
You may not like the answer or why he said it but he was questioned about it by the media.... Here's the Q&A....
QUESTION: Sir, in your last campaign you said that the American public was not ready for a complete ban on abortion. You are about to sign legislation that will ban a certain abortion procedure known as partial-birth.
Do you believe that the climate has changed since the last campaign and all abortion should be banned?
And do you believe your brother made the correct decision in Florida when he intervened in the case of a woman who had been ordered by the courts to be taken off life support?
BUSH: Yes, I believe my brother made the right decision.
Yes, I'll sign the ban on partial-birth abortion.
And no, I don't think the culture has changed to the extent that the American people or the Congress would totally ban abortions.
Where did he ever say that? You quoted a headline written by Reuters, which has a different connotation from what he actually said:
"And no, I don't think the culture has changed to the extent that the American people or the Congress would totally ban abortions."
Congress obviously wouldn't. And the American people still wouldn't; most would rather not even think about the reality of abortion.
Under MY watch as you put it, without any idea what you're talking about, lets see:
Texas has moved from all dims to all Republicans. We have the Gov and all 23 state wide offices. We hold all the top court positions, both US Senators and just redistricted to get another 4-6 congressmen.
We execute prisoners, and have right to carry. My congressman is Tom DeLay and before I left Houston it was Bill Archer.
Yea I'm doing pretty well .... HOW ABOUT YOU????
