the afternoon boys..John and Ken were a major force in keeping the recall momentum going. They did a great job. Sometimes they make me nuts...but I still listen.

Was talking about the San Bernardino Forest. I know they have not been able to clear out the trees, etc., killed by the beetles.

We can't clear the beetled killed trees here in the Sierras where I live. The law does not allow us to protect our property.

Before the Sierra Club and it's communist dupes enacted "environmental protection laws" our forest was a safe and beautiful place to live. Now, it's a fire trap.

We're mighty worried here, our firefighters are down south trying to help those folks.

Vista is not in the direct line of fire for the time being. If I'm no longer connecting to FR, that means the Paradise fire jumps Deer Spring to San Marcos and Vista. We are being warned to evacuate if the Santa Ana starts to pickup after 2PM.

The area it covered and how fast it did is unbelievalble.

Just as a matter of reference, in the '70 Laguna fire, which was under similar fuel moisture circumstances, but higher winds, the fire blew over Pine Valley at 9 at night and showed up near the Monte Vista station in Spring Valley at 7 the next morning. When these things get flying, they're pretty damn impressive.

Apparently there's a new start at the 76 and the 15. CDF just pulled two air tankers out to go fight it.
