I have not heard of power outages, I have power in Pacific Beach.
I did see film of trees blowing like crazy and sparking local power lines, just small neighborhood service stuff. These blowing trees sparking wires may be starting fires.

SCE last night was considering voluntarily shutting down power to a larger area of the San Bernardino mountains to limit arcing under high wind, low humidity conditions.
SDG&E might be doing similar things.

I've never seen the sky like this in my life, and the air outside is awful, but we're okay in Pacific Beach.

Are there actually Santa Ana winds right now? We usually get those here when there are ---- but that's not what we've got --- a bunch of cold moist air blew in from Canada to the SW---- not hot and dry. Of course there could be Santa Ana winds that didn't come this way --- I just am wondering about that.

I'm just above the H in Pacific Beach on that map, 4 miles north of Seaworld, 2 miles from the beach.

I saw the news last night ---- incredible fires. The fires looked like they were making their own winds.
