"The Reagan years legitimized bigotry. AIDS, which even then affected as many if not more heterosexuals than homosexuals throughout the world, was dismissed as a gay disease with an official homophobic wink, implying that those deaths did not matter because of who was involved.... We are filled with the hope that someday, some way, we will see an end to this human tragedy, but the battle is far from won, and there is a long road still ahead."

Hopefully, the ever star gazing "Nance" will now come out swinging in defense of her old man just the way she did when Oliver North released his book asserting that Reagan knew all about Iran-Contra.

North, certainly no choir boy, took the fall for Reagan and did so admirably. I never enjoyed a spectacle more. It was delicious seeing him run rings around those fat, lazy, sanctimonious and stupid Senators, with special joy watching him drop kick Senator George Mitchell. Who ever heard of granting a person TOTAL IMMUNITY before knowing what he or she was going to say? Twits!

Nancy Reagan as far as I'm concerned though, was and is a devoted wife, but a shallow and insipid First Lady.
