All In A Day's Work

Two "work accidents" occurred in Palestinian Authority-controlled areas yesterday, leading to one death and one serious injury. An Arab lawyer was killed in Ramallah when an explosives vest he had prepared for a suicide attack exploded unexpectedly as he was walking in the street. Another terrorist in Ein Yabrud, across from Ofrah, was seriously hurt when a bomb he was preparing for use against Israeli targets exploded in his hands. He was hospitalized in Ramallah. On Wednesday, a terrorist was killed and two more were injured in yet another terrorist "work accident" in Shechem.

A lawyer? But I thought all those terrorists were poor, destituded, and uneducated....

Has Mossad found a means to detonate some of these things remotely?

What was it Caeser said....."Kill all the lawyers?" Now I understand....he meant those who would blow up others.

Yup. Quite a while ago. I find it funny as hell!

It's too often to be coincidence.

I'd love to know if the IDF is using chemical fumes, microwaves, electrostatic energy, or what to detonate these things remotely.

Since no one has complained about rifle/pistol ammuntion cooking off, however, I'm leaning aginst the microwave heat theory.

I'm thinking most bomb apparatus has transisters in it somewhere. I know you can detect transisters at multiples of certain frequencies of radio waves. That's how they 'sweep' for eavesdropping bugs. I wonder if you can trigger transisters to operate at other or higher radio frequencies.

No, the circuits aren't likely to be activated during most of these "work accidents." And most of the time, what you are talking about is the superheterodyne beat frequency of circuits that are designed to receive radio signals, something that a bomb belt with a manual toggle switch won't be doing.

I mean, sure, these work accidents would be expected on remotely detonated bombs...but the belts and vests that are going off are unlikely to be that sort of device.

On the other hand, simple static electricity in the air can detonate nitroglycerine. Ramping up large amounts of such electrostatic energy might detonate other types of explosives (think, sparks near gas), as would excessive heat from microwaves. Figuring out the right chemical catalysts to pump into an area as fumes could do the trick, too.

I'd dearly love to know how specifically the IDF is doing this. It would make for a vastly superior "metal detector" for secure areas!

Everybody get out yer cellular phone instruction book. Look inside for part that says do not operate near blasting / demolition areas. Take note.........:o)

IDF ect ect....can "aim/amplify" that which electric caps/squips do not like.......

Stay Safe !

Yep. As a pup I worked with a blaster, down in cofferdams blasting the bedrock. We'd drill with jackhammers, and put in dynamite cut to order, with electrical blasting caps and all the twin wires tied together in trunks.

What that blaster REALLY worried about was stray electrical or radio transmissions. Big signs on his truck, big signs all over: NO RADIOS TRANSMISSIONS! BLASTING! DANGER!

He wasn't joking either.

The blasting caps they are using are very sensitive to radio frequencys and/or static charges when they are wiring them.

The normal method of safety is to ban all transmitters near the site that you are wiring the blasting cap. But as these sites are all clandistine a passing taxi checking in to homebase can "remodel" your garage for you.

You have to be a pretty low IQ to use your talents to be a mass murderer and that is a bad combination with explosives. I doubt most of these "work accidents" are due to the IDF, but if it makes the Jihadi sleep poorly, let them dream of secret Jew bomb busters.

An Arab lawyer was killed in Ramallah when an explosives vest he had prepared for a suicide attack exploded

The difference is that the free worlds laws are to protect the innocent, and the Arab worlds laws describe on how to kill them. As Arab Laywers study Shari law.

"Arab Lawyer" is just another way to say Religious Jihadi...
