Who was the on with Tony Snow just now that mentioned Free Republic and "Get well Rush"??

I have you on audio tape, but would have to re-wind the tape to see what your name is and where he said you were from. Were you the caller from Grand Rapids, Michigan or DeMoines, Iowa?

Well that was me. I called from downtown Grand Rapids Michigan, and while I was on hold, I walked and drank a coffee with 3 expresso shots in it. I went to the almost highest hill in Grand Rapids which is where the Veterans Park is situated. It is really a strong spiritual place, there are 10 and 20 foot blocks of concrete with the names of all the vets from Michigan from WW1 on. Some of those blocks of granite where erected I believe shortly after the first World War.

Anyway it was a privilege to represent the USMC and Freerepublic all at once on the E.I.B.

The caffine kicked in right about when I got on so I was pretty jumpy when Mr. Snow put me on right after the Attorney General. Basically what I said was that, referring to the Rumsfield memo, we need to go to the source, the madrases, and deal with them one way or the other. Being a former Marine, I prefer the instant poof method. I also mentioned that we do have a history in this country of not letting bad people hide behind religion. I used the example of how we hit the mormons pretty hard in the 1800's. I hope I did not sound like I dislike Mormons. I didn't have time to say that they are one of the best things we have in this country. But I wanted to make the point that IMO, if the terrs are in a mosque or seminary or church, no mercy. ( not to be confused with waco were, they were not supporting or conducting terrorist actions, unless bible study was classified as such under Reno-Clinton. I must admit though that there was some of that multi - wife thing going on, but hey they were not spreading those views, they were contained. Anyway thats another thread)

Ever since 911 when I was back in DC and there was a big anti - american march within a month of 911, and I heard that freerepublic would hold a counter demonstation. Ever since that day when I stood with those freepers, flags in our hands, looking like civil war regiments of old, standing firm against the enemy, and sending them back time and time again, reeling from the fiery fire of our insults and gaze,( The cops were in between us - lucky for them), ever since that day I have been with freepers online in the ether and on line in the street. It is and will continue to be an honor.

But, what I heard you say to Tony Snow today was horrible. Dropping bombs on schools !!! You didn't specify what particular age groups. Would this bombing take place at all levels of schools? say pre-school/kindergarten, or elementary schools, or should we concentrate these bombs on the high school aged jihadists?

I certainly understand your frustration that school children are being taught to hate in the Middle East. But you want to kill the children rather than the teachers of hate ???

Remember your history; the Germans indoctrinated their children, as did the Japanese, the Soviets, and countless other regimes and civilizations before them. They are living examples that good citizens can come out of an evil empire.

Tomas, I was cringing listening to your call, as was a caller shortly after you. He said he hoped that listeners wouldn't take your call as representative of the conservatives in this country. Tony agreed with him. You actually did a disservice to conservatives, and Free Republic today with your call.
