It's well known that the Civil War was caused by the evil Abe Lincoln's unconstitutional attempt to put a tariff on light bulbs. And what's more, the Confederacy won the Battle of Spotlight/Sylvania.

My ancestors in challenge to this opressive, unlawful yankee tax threw all the lightbulbs in the river. Called him a carpetbagger , sipped some righteous burbon sitting on the veranda and It was good.

Is that serious or in jest? My hubby is driving to Alabama with the toddler right now (to visit in laws in Alabama) and is likely driving on the other side of Atlanta right now.
