Man, 45, gets 40 lashes for raping four-year-old girl (Religion of Peace & Tolerance Alert)

The Upper Sharia Court Gusau has sentenced a 45-year-old man, Mallam Tukur Aliyu to 40 strokes of cane and a fine of N10,000 for raping his four-year-old student.

When hearing the case, the court noticed that Tukur asked the little girl to meet him at his room to collect a scroll. As the girl entered the room, the cleric ordered the young girl to undress after which he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

After he had finished, the cleric noticed that he had injured the little girl and became jittery. He then went out and told her to remain in the room until when he returned.

The court was told that before Tukur could return with an a different set of clothes for the girl, she had sneaked out of the room with blood rushing under her legs and staining her clothes.

As she was moving, some people who live nearby Tukur's house stopped her and asked her what happened. As the little girl was narrating what really happened, the anxious Islamic scholar emerged and he was immediately arrested.

Tukur was then handed to the vigilance group (hisba) who rushed the little girl to the hospital for the treatment. Delivering his judgment, the Sharia court judge, Mallam Dahiru Mohammed Gusau ruled the case by sentencing the accused Islamic scholar to 40 strokes of the came including fine of N10,000.

The Sharia court judge Mallam Dahiru Mohammed told the accused Islamic scholar to fear the Almighty God as every human being would give account of his deeds hereafter.

Forty good lashes across the back will cause such a large amount of damage that if you don't die from the blood loss, you'll die from the infections that follow.

Under Sharia Law, prosecution of a man for rape requires a minimum of four Muslim men (of good Muslim character and piety) who actually observe the head of the rapist's penis entering the vagina. Otherwise, the woman is charged with bringing an unsubstantiated charge of rape and can herself be charged with adultery and being a loose woman (a capital offense). In effect, her failure to prove the charge under Sharia Law is a de facto confession of adultery and subjects her to the full force of the Law.

As somebody already pointed out, these must be "moderate" Muslims, perverting the Sharia Law from it's true application as there are no witnesses to the act. They no doubt let the cleric plead to a lesser charge.
