Kerry has said he would have preferred that the United States pursue more diplomacy before the war and seek a UN vote supporting the use of force against President Saddam Hussein of Iraq.

Its just tough isn't it, Mr. French, nobody put a gun to your head to vote yes on the war. Keep trying to lie your way thru the election. Go ahead, pretend you really didn't vote for the war we all know you did!

the French and Russians were prepared to make an offer at the UN, but were rebuffed by American officials intent on going to war

In New Orleans a mayorial candidate came out weeks before the election saying he had info that "sickened him to the core" and that he'd release it in th coming days.

He didn't release it of course but it got him a ton of press and a lot of whispers about what he had. Actually I think he did release it with a lot less fanfare and it turned out to be some trivial issue that people kind of laughed off.

Point being, he built up a deuce making people think it was an ace.

Who cares what the French and Russians wanted to do? We didn't need them.

France and Russia? Even in what Kerry's saying is true, what does a compromise on their part have to do with Saddamn's not co-operating? Who cares what Russia and France were saying? Kerry must be desperate. Playing the France card. Oh, yeah. That'll play well over here...Why don't you run for president in France, Kerry? Sheesh.

How utterly Nixonian! He has a "secret peace plan", undoubtedly to have our boys home by Christmas. Having the French along during a war is like taking an acordian deer hunting, just a lot of noisy useless baggage.

"I have it on the highest authority" that the French and Russians were prepared to make an offer at the UN, but were rebuffed by American officials intent on going to war, Kerry said. "I'm going to talk about it more publicly at a later time."

I show clips of this show

Kerry stated that he was in contact with Koffee Annan during this time

And then went on to tell Chris that he would have waited till the French were on board with the US

1) WHY is he contacting the UN over the War in Iraq?

2) WHY does Kerry think that France should dictate US National Security?

Is this anything like the deal Clintoon and Maddie the Cleaning Lady had with the North Koreans or the latest deal the EU has with Iran to temporarily halt the production of nuclear weapons? </sarcasm>

"I have it on the highest authority"

You all will remember a week or so ago Kerry said he had conversations with Kofi Annan.

BTW, France said "no" to the last UN deal before the "war", and before Iraq said "no."

Yeah, the French and the Russians had a proposal that was rebuffed -- could it be they were going to propose even more time for Iraq to comply? Some "proposal". Thank goodness the Administration had some backbone to call BS on the UN (and the French and Russians), unlike the Dem Presidential candidates.

So, Saddam Hussein behaved like he had WMD, but it took a war to discover that he didn't (or we just haven't found them yet). France and Germany behaved like they were against the war, but only now they say that they weren't really?

In John Kerry's world, Hussein's threat wasn't imminent, but France and Germany's capitulation was?

"Kerry said that he believed his information was solid and that he intends to focus on the issue in the coming weeks as he continues to critique President Bush's foreign policy and attempts to distinguish himself from the eight other Democrats running for the White House."

That's rather easy .......

Kerry is a white guy.

Kerry is the guy with the two foot long [french looking] face.

Kerry is the guy with calluses on his hands from throwing his service medals out his window.

Kerry is the guy who served in Vietnam.

Kerry is the guy whose married name is John Kerry Heinz.

Kerry is the guy who had words of praise for Sen. Robert Byrd (D), calling the former Ku Klux Klansman who recently used the "n"-word during a nationally televised interview "eloquent."

Kerry is the guy who looks a little taller than the other dwarves because of his face.

Kerry ....... what a guy!
