on the subject of the hippocratic oath, you would, indeed, be right. Some of those taking it still mean it, though. Thank God for those Doctors.

Her father has been more than clear that Terri reacts to he Mom differently than she does to him, her brother, sister or any health care workers. How she reacts to her twerp of a husband is anybodys guess.
Having seen several vidoes of Terri and her mother I believe that he is right, she does react to her mother the way an infant would. I don't believ in killing infants, hell I don't believe in killing one day old embryos. And I sure the hell don't believ the state has any business issuing orders to cut off food and hydration to a woman when there is reasonable doubt at to her wishes, her state and her chances for rehabilitation.

If you behave as liberals, i.e., trash other posters, your post will be pulled. Debate the message, not verbally abuse the poster. If we have to, this thread will be pulled. We are not about to decide who posted what to who this thread, not to mention the 1000's of other threads where someone said something to someone. Act like conservatives.

The day Terri's feeding tube was removed, I was so depressed. I went down to Walmart, bought a little 3 ft artificial tree and white lights, brought it home and put it up. It's my Terri Tree. Before when I looked at it, I felt sad, now however, I feel joy.
I recommend Terri Trees to all Freepers!!!
Whats wrong with celebrating Christmas a little early :)

Whom do you believe -- the rigged "experts," or your own lying eyes? Hey, to me, puppies look like they understand what I'm saying...but what do I know?
I have to trust the experts on something like this.

i agree with you....these freepers kept the pressure on everyone and all the other conservative web sites have a few stories on terri, but NOTHING close to free republic...i'm so proud of being an american today.....

a nice alternative would be to send flowers, stuffed animals, etc to the pediatric ward of your local hospital in thanksgiving for Terri's life. And, I doubt a donation to the Schindler Family Fund would hurt at this point.

Of the links that popped up on the Rockefeller search, it wasn't possible to tell that there's a difference between the two. They bring up the same links. Are they the same agency?

The doctors told Dr. Hawking that he wouldn't live past 25. He nearly committed suicide over it, but he had friends and family for support. He is well past 60 years old today and has an active professional career, holding the Lucasian Chair of Mathematics at Cambridge University.

Funny, all the medical experts in this field HAVE NOT agreed. Why do you keep denying the truth?
To: shhrubbery!
make sure you watch it to the end. It lasts only about 30 seconds. The last 5 seconds are amazing. Yes, I've seen that video, again hoping the videos would be evidence that I could use to prove to people the facts of the case (which I continue to believe are that there has been a lot of conflict of interest and not enough impartial examination.)
The "big eyes" video has someone (dr?) telling Terri to open her eyes, open her eyes. After a length of time, she does. But whose to say that this wasn't something she was doing regularly anyway?
I just feel that if you gave Michael Schiavo a video camera and editor, he would bring back five thirty second videos of Terri not responding to anyone or anything. Again, NOT THAT SHE IS UNRESPONSIVE, just that these snippets don't seem to prove it.

On the floor of the Florida State Senate, one of the senators debating spoke about a boy who after 14 years in a coma, suddenly sat up and asked for a Big Mac.
Terri is not in a coma, despite all the headlines and media stating earlier today that she was a "comatose woman". The media gets stuff wrong all the time; just like the courts and judges like Greer.
Terri is severely disabled.
Her parents want to take care of her.
Her husband wants her dead.
It is that simple.

Give up on Jorge. This is a miracle true and true. For those who believe, no explanation is necessary. For those who don't, no explanation is good enough. He needs to go away. We are celebrating saving a life and thanking God for is intervention. I made many posts throughout the day and last night to let everyone know that God was working a miracle and to just hang in and have faith. Terri will be fine. God has carried her this far and heard all the faithful call to him for help. We all have been completely unselfish in caring about this one poor soul.

He does. The first moment I held him, I suddenly knew why I existed. My given name means "Protector" or "Shield" and that is what I do, and who I am.

Change of guardianship?
Not quite. The appointment of a guardian ad litem is not the same thing as the dismissal of a guardian. A guardian ad litem is a person who supervises affairs and has legal standing to act on a ward's behalf. So Michael is still Terri's guardian.
On the other hand, I don't think Terri's parents would have to work too hard to convince a guardian ad litem to file for divorce and/or a change of guardianship. Does anyone know if her current hospital is in Pinellas County?

If she's really "vegetative" and unaware of her surroundings or existence, then what possible harm is there in letting her parents take over her care? She requires feeding only -- it's not like she requires massively expensive machines and such. Her parents and siblings want to try therapy, and there's more than enough money in her medical trust fund to pay for her feeding and some therapy for the rest of her life. And she has two parents and two siblings all committed to trying to help her. Even if they are deluding themselves about her prospects, what's the harm in letting them try? Either she's completely vegetative and not able to suffer through awareness of her condition, or she's not completely vegetative and might improve with therapy.
